Personalised Holidays, Thoughtfully Planned

HOLIDAYS DESIGNED AROUND YOU

The best holidays aren't built from templates - they're built around the people taking them.

I'm Tracy O'Donoghue, an independent travel advisor and travel agent based in Dublin, helping busy professionals, families, couples, friends, and solo travellers plan personalised holidays across Japan, Canada, Europe, and destinations worldwide.

Whether you're planning a relaxing escape, a long-haul family holiday, a ski trip, a milestone celebration, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, I take the time to understand what's important to you before recommending the destinations, hotels and experiences that are the best fit.

PERSONALISED TRAVEL PLANNING

Many people search for a travel agent when they're looking to book a holiday. While I certainly arrange flights, accommodation and experiences, my role goes far beyond making a booking.

Every holiday begins with a conversation. I want to understand how you like to travel, what you've enjoyed in the past, what you'd like to do differently, and what matters most for this trip. That allows me to recommend holidays that genuinely suit your travel style, budget, and priorities.

Sometimes that means bringing your original plans to life. Other times, it means suggesting a different destination, itinerary, or time of year because I know it will give you a better experience.

WHO I HELP

I work with people who value personalised recommendations, thoughtful planning, and expert guidance.

This includes:
-Busy professionals with limited time
-Families looking for seamless long-haul holidays
-Couples, friends, and solo travellers celebrating special occasions or ticking off bucket-list destinations
-Anyone who wants the confidence of having an experienced travel professional on their side - from the planning stage, right through to their return home

SPECIALIST EXPERTISE

Japan and Canada are my specialist destinations, built on years of first-hand experience.

I lived in Japan for four years, travelling to 35 of its 47 prefectures, and grew up in Canada before moving to Ireland in 2006. That local knowledge allows me to recommend destinations, routes, hotels, and experiences with confidence.

Alongside Japan and Canada, I also create tailor-made holidays throughout Europe and to destinations around the world.

SKI HOLIDAYS

I've been skiing since I was 10 years old and have skied throughout Canada, Europe, and Japan. Over the years, I've also planned numerous ski holidays for myself and my family, giving me first-hand experience of the practical details that make a ski trip enjoyable and stress-free.

Whether you're booking your first family ski holiday or looking for your next favourite resort, I can help you choose the destination, accommodation, and itinerary that's right for you.

SUPPORT EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

From our first conversation until you return home, I'm here to make the planning process as smooth and enjoyable as the holiday itself.

Whether you need advice, practical recommendations, or support while you're away, you'll have someone who knows your trip and is invested in making it a success.

LET'S PLAN YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY

If you're looking for an independent travel advisor and travel agent in Dublin who takes the time to understand what's important to you, I'd love to help you plan your next holiday.

A Week in Montreal and Quebec City

A Week in Montreal and Quebec City

Growing up in Alberta, I never explored much of Eastern Canada apart from visiting relatives in Ontario and Newfoundland. At the time, flights to Europe were often the same price as travelling across the country, so it made sense to travel abroad. However, Quebec has always been somewhere I wanted to visit, so when I discovered direct flights from Dublin, I finally decided to go (and my mother fle

Thailand Family Holiday: 12 Days in Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Phuket

Thailand Family Holiday: 12 Days in Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Phuket

Thailand is a very easy country to travel to with kids, and it offers so much in terms of culture, food, nature, and relaxation. This 12-day route worked really well for us because it combined busy city exploring, a slower pace in the north, and a final beach stay to properly unwind. The internal flights are short and straightforward, and each destination felt completely different.

Where to Eat in Tokyo with Kids: A Simple Family Guide

Where to Eat in Tokyo with Kids: A Simple Family Guide

I lived in Tokyo for 4 years and explored the city extensively, so I know that eating out with kids is much easier than most people expect. Tokyo has a world-famous food scene, but what often surprises families is how accessible, fast, and kid-friendly it actually is once you know where to go.

Cambodia & Vietnam With Kids: Siem Reap and Hoi An

In 2004 I travelled overland from Singapore to Bangkok, but never made it to Cambodia and Vietnam; and it remained on my travel list until finally getting there in 2024. We didn’t have a lot of time, and travelling with kids can be a real adventure in itself, so I set my sights on two main goals: seeing Angkor Wat and eating Vietnamese food in Vietnam. But with a bit of research and organisation

A Week in Abu Dhabi and the Empty Quarter

In December 2023, we made the most of our journey back to Tokyo from Dublin by enjoying an Etihad stopover in Abu Dhabi. Stopping in the Middle East not only allowed us to experience a new destination and soak up some winter sun, but it also helped break up the long journey, making the jetlag much more manageable on the other side!

A few kind words to say thank you for what really was a brilliantly choreographed trip to Japan. Everything went extremely smoothly and the hotels were very nice & of the standard we like. They were all in great locations. I would definitely have no hesitation at all in recommending Travel Counsellors, and Tracy in particular, to anyone planning a holiday to a destination unknown to them. Thank you for a wonderful experience & I look forward to asking you to help us plan our next trip!
