My most memorable travel experiences are zip lining off the Great Wall of China, sleeping under the stars at Australia's incredible Whitehaven Beach, spending a week in an overwater villa in the Maldives and drinking Caipirinhas while watching samba bands in Rio De Janeiro. I’ve been lucky to travel all over the world and I'm not finished yet!
As a honeymoon and long haul travel expert, I estimate I've helped over 300 couples (so far!) to create the trip of their dreams, it’s one of my favourites aspects of working in the industry and I would love to help you plan the adventure of a lifetime.

Karen has been fantastic to deal with. From the first time I spoke with her she gave really sound advice and recommendations for our honeymoon. She took on board all our requests and numerous changes as we tried to make up our mind on the best destination for us, getting us an amazing honeymoon within the budget we had set. Karen is always readily available which made arranging our trip so easy. We would be happy to recommend her!

Karen helped me with my trip to Mexico, I had a few ideas that I shared with Karen and then she did all the research and came back to me with my options. It saved me so much time and effort. I will definitely be in touch for future trips and would highly recommend Karen's services.

Karen was brilliant when it came to helping me out with everything from things to do - accommodation, car hire and pulling it all into one easy to access and track itinerary! Already bending her brains for our next trip!

For many couples, the honeymoon is a once in a lifetime trip, a chance to do something really special. Having booked well in excess of 300 honeymoons in my career I like to think I’ve learned a thing or two. So here are my top practical tips as you get started on a stress free honeymoon planning journey… What’s important? Do you want to relax on an exotic beach while your partner wants to scale the highest mountain? Maybe you can do both! Talk to me so that we can find the perfect compromise. It’s rare that there isn’t a way to incorporate both...

I'm just back from 2.5 weeks in wonderful California and it's definitely my favourite US state! We spent a week in San Francisco, a city I had previously visited (and loved!) on my honeymoon and then took a car down the famous Pacific Coast's Highway 1 to Los Angeles, Santa Monica & Disney. Where to start with San Francisco, there is so much to do for everyone. Although we didn't do it this time, I always include the Hop on Hop off bus tour which has a few routes but includes the fascinating and often booked out trip to Alcatraz. From...

I’m just back from Royal Caribbean’s inaugural week long sailing in the Western Mediterranean on their mega ship Symphony of the Seas and I am so excited to share my experience. I’ve been on trade visits and overnights on many cruise ships over the years but this was the first time I decided to go on one for my own holiday. I figured if we (my husband, my son & I) are going to do it we needed to do it big! And the biggest ship in the world it is but it never felt crowded and it never took...

This trip is one of my favourite ever itineraries as despite the 2 countries and 4 stops, it was so easy and stress free and we packed absolutely loads in! We started in the ever-fascinating city of Rio De Janeiro and it really packs a punch with it’s incredibly beautiful scenery, beaches and people! It might be a cliché to say it but the contrast of rich and poor, that mild sense of danger, that edginess really makes it one of the most exciting cities I’ve experienced in the world. We stayed in Santa Teresa, known as the artistic enclave of...

My family and I are just back from a week in Greece where I spent three nights in Athens and four in Rhodes. In Athens, we stayed at a very cool 4* boutique hotel, it was in a great location in Psyrri. We only had two days, so we did the sightseeing hop on hop off tour to take in the ancient (and not so ancient) sights of this incredible city. The view from the Acropolis was awe inspiring (I’d recommend getting their early to beat the cruise ship crowds). The shops of Monastiraki are worth a look with a mixture...

The journey from Dubai to Six Senses Zighy Bay was truly exceptional. We were picked up in a 4 x 4, complete with wifi and transported through the rugged landscape of the Hajar Mountains through the UAE into Oman. After 2 hours, we enter the gates of the resort and the jeep climbs the steep mountain, it’s a little hair raising but the view that awaits is absolutely spectacular. You can also paraglide into the resort (or take a speed boat, either will allow you to feel like James Bond!) but as we had come off an 8-hour overnight flight, we...

Ah the Maldives, those picture postcard villas jutting out over that turquoise water, I thought they must be photoshopped? Well the good news is that they look just as good in real life, it really is heaven on earth and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been! Huvafen Fushi was our hotel of choice and having spent 5 days walking the beautiful Somerset countryside at Glastonbury Festival, we were excited to get there and relax and rest our weary legs. After our short speed boat transfer, we were lucky enough to get an upgrade on arrival to a Sunset...

If time permits, it’s almost rude not to stop in Dubai when you’re travelling with Emirates! It’s a place that has really grown on me over the years. I was looking forward to our second stay at the famous Atlantis - The Palm (our first was on the way home from Thailand where we’d just got engaged years ago) and this time we had our lively 2 year old in tow! It did not disappoint, the building and lobby are awesome at first sight and with complimentary entry included into Aquaventure, the best waterpark I’ve ever been to, we were in...

Mauritius is somewhere my husband has always wanted to travel to (having gone to primary school with a young Mauritian made quite the impression!) I had one particular property on my list of ’to-do-before-I-die' luxury hotel list, so off we went in the middle of the wettest month, March. Turns out it’s not that wet at all, and we were able to cope with one or two quick showers a day! First stop was the wonderful 4* Zilwa Attitude, where we had 5 nights all-inclusive in a superior room. What a fantastic ‘all-rounder’, set in the most beautiful lagoon with turquoise shallow...

This blog took me a while to write. I've been to Thailand 5 times, backpacking twice, 2 luxury trips, and it was the first family long haul trip when 2 became 3 so I've experienced it from different points of view. The good news is that it's wonderful for backpacking but it's even more wonderful to book one of its many very affordable luxury hotels. It's still probably my favourite all-round destination with something for absolutely everyone and such amazing value, I could talk about it all day long... Bangkok is somewhere that people have heard either terrible or great things...

Everyone has an opinion on that most wonderful of metropolises, New York City. It is many things to many people. On my 6th visit, I took my extended family on a trip for my Mam’s 60th birthday in September. I love spring/autumn as the best time to visit, as it’s not too hot. My first tip, if it’s your first time, stay in Midtown, it’s a great spot with all the skyscrapers and familiar sights from the TV and movies, some of the best museums on the planet and of course the wonderful Central Park (hire a bike and cycle around...
