Planning a Bali Honeymoon or Holiday
Bali is one of those destinations I book again and again, especially for honeymoons! It’s easy to see why. Jungle villas, beautiful beaches, incredible food and a completely different way of life. Bali is incredibly varied with so much to see and do and best of all it’s also one of the best value long-haul trips you can do! Thinking about a Bali honeymoon or holiday? Let's go!
Why Choose Bali?
Bali works so well because it gives you a bit of everything in one trip:
- private pool villas and suites
- a mix of beach, jungle and culture
- great food, from local warungs to high-end restaurants
- spas, yoga, surfing, temples, rice fields and more
You can make it as relaxed or as active as you like, but the real magic is in the mix!
Where To Stay
This is where Bali can either feel amazing… or just a bit busy. Most trips work best when you split your stay.
- Ubud - jungle, rice terraces, temples and more!
- Seminyak / Canggu – beach clubs, restaurants, more going on
- Uluwatu / Jimbaran – clifftop views, surf, a bit more laid-back
- Nusa Dua & Sanur - for international style resorts and big beaches
And then, if you want something a bit different, I love adding in places that feel more off the beaten track - for example, Sidemen which is like a quieter Ubud or Munduk for cooler temperatures, waterfalls and mountain views.
Narrowing it down is where I can help and piece things together!
Beyond Bali (If You Have Time)
Bali works brilliantly on its own, but if you have a bit more time, Indonesia has so much more to offer.
- Lombok - a quieter alternative to Bali with beautiful beaches and scenery
- Gili Islands - easy to get to and for me a must-do with your Bali honeymoon or holiday itinerary
- Komodo – think island hopping and those famous dragons
- Sumba – more remote with design-led hotels, very off-grid
- Java – for culture and contrast, especially places like Yogyakarta and Borobudur
Where To Combine With Bali
Bali and Indonesia has so much going on but there are a few easy combinations for a bigger Asia trip:
- a Singapore stopover on the way out or home
- an adventure in Thailand for islands, food and a lot more
- Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) is an easy city add-on or for more beaches.
- A tour of Japan with Bali is one of my favourite combinations for an epic Asia itinerary
Planning Your Bali Trip
Bali is one of the planet's most popular destinations so I can cut out the noise and help with:
- choosing the right areas (and not too many)
- picking the right style of hotel
- getting the balance right between beach, culture and downtime
When you book with me, I’ll take care of everything, from flights and hotels to transfers and the finer details, so your trip feels easy from start to finish.

Her attention to detail, extensive knowledge and her ability to listen so well that her first options were as close to perfect as possible. Karen is approachable, friendly, kind and really stands out in terms of her guidance. If you want to put your trust in someone to guide you to perfection, I couldn't recommend her services more"
