My biggest passion is travel, and it’s so amazing that I can do what I love most as my job.
My name is Ellen, born and raised in The Netherlands and now living in beautiful Ireland. After studying Tourism I worked for many years in 5-star hotels where I learned how to take care of our discerning guests in the best way possible. But travel was my passion, and I decided to make it my business too when I joined Travel Counsellors, initially in the Netherlands.
Being part of a global company meant that when I decided to move to Ireland permanently, I could continue doing what I love most and still take care of my clients in both countries. As I have grown my business here, I have had the pleasure of looking after the travel arrangements of some high-profile Irish customers both for dream honeymoons and unique holidays, and now I’m ready to do the same for you.
I’m based in Swords as a Travel Counsellor and we’ve just put down roots in Bettystown, Co. Meath. As I am not restricted to 9-5 it means we can chat about your holiday plans whenever suits you best. Most importantly for me is that the experience from start till finish is personal and special, I will try to get to know you and I’m sure I can make all your dream holidays come true.
I myself travel as much as possible, obviously because I love it, but also to be able to advise my clients even better. From safaris in South Africa and Botswana to backpacking in Southeast Asia, many road trips in the USA, relaxing in the Seychelles, discovering Caribbean islands like Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Saint Martin and Curacao. I’ve also spent lots of time on city trips and self-drives in Europe, there are so many beautiful destinations only a few hours away and of course I’ve enjoyed many summer holidays in Mallorca, The Canaries, Italy, France and many more places. And I was one of the lucky Travel Counsellors who went to Brazil to discover this amazing country. My first introduction to South America was amazing and can't wait to see many more countries in that beautiful part of the world.
In 2020 and 2021 our family got a bit bigger with the arrival of our little girl Teddy and boy Jude, so in recent years we have travelled with the kids from the start and did lots of family resorts but also long-haul holidays to Mauritius for example. So, I'm definitely an expert too when it comes to family holidays.
We got married in Greece because it is my favourite European destination, The Greek islands, mainland, island hopping, Greece has it all. Weddings abroad or honeymoons are something I love and specialise in.
In October this year I went on my first cruise ever, being invited by Virgin Voyages to experience the only "adults only" cruise line in the world. It was fabulous and when it comes to cruises there are so many options and I'm here to make sure you end up at the right ship with the right cruise company.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your travel plans. My wife Sarah and I booked our dream honeymoon with Ellen and we couldn’t recommend her enough. She organized everything for us and took the hassle out of everything. She asked us a few questions about what we wanted and we told her we didn’t want to be stuck in the same place, we wanted to see a couple of places. She recommended a cruise so we went to Miami for 3 nights stay at the Royal Palm Hotel, it was a great location right on Miami Beach. We went on a 7 night Caribbean cruise on the brand new MSC Seaside ship. She gave us great advice and answered any questions that we had. The cruise was amazing from the food to the drink package and each stop off at port we saw plenty of beautiful islands and even went snorkeling and swimming with dolphins. After the cruise we had one more night in Miami before flying home and Ellen had got us upgraded to a suite at the Nobu Hotel Miami. This was a beautiful hotel. We would definitely be booking with Ellen again she made our dream honeymoon come true we loved every minute of it. Thanks Ellen!

Ellen introduced me and my friends to the concept of the Frenymoon this summer when she planned our trip for Jamaica and man did she deliver! We had an absolute ball from start to finish as Ellen had planned our itinerary to a T. We had given Ellen a budget for accommodation and she gave us a great selection throughout the country ranging from guest houses to hotels and even a stay in a luxury guest house!
