A Memorable Mid-Term Escape: Pine Cliffs Residence, Algarve
For the Irish October mid-term, my husband and I were lucky to get away with our two daughters (aged 11 and 8). We picked Pine Cliffs Residence in the Algarve, and what a treat it was.
Nestled atop the iconic red cliffs of Praia da Falésia, the resort felt like our own corner of paradise, with five-star service and the comfort of home.
Our accommodation was a private, fully-equipped, spacious and beautifully appointed apartment, giving us all room to unwind after each day’s adventures. The girls loved the pools and the various activities across the resort, such as a bird show, motorised car track, as well as direct access to the fabulous beach. We used the onsite gym, spa facilities and the resort’s golf course.

Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in O Grill, the restaurant closest to us, there was a huge choice between hot breakfast, cold meats, cereals etc. Lunch was usually a snack in one of the pool bars or back at the apartment. For dinner, we sampled a couple of the restaurants, Portofino for example, and also cooked in the apartment. In the evenings, we strolled through the lush grounds, popped into the entertainment room, played giant chess and finished off with sunset mocktails for the girls and a celebratory drink for us at the Mirador Champagne Bar.

At Pine Cliffs Resort, there is a huge array of activities and facilities for everyone to enjoy; from direct access to the beach, and a myriad of restaurants, to adult only accommodation to playgrounds and sports camps for all ages. Pine Cliffs Resort offers a unique blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience that suits both couples seeking a romantic escape and families looking for memorable, multi-generational adventures.
