Villa Rodi CV Villas
This October, I had the incredible opportunity—alongside four fellow Travel Counsellors—to experience a week in beautiful Corfu, staying in a stunning villa provided by our trusted partners at CV Villas. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the ladies at CV Villas were outstanding hosts, showcasing the impeccable level of service every guest can expect when staying with them.
Villa Rodi: A True Gem
Villa Rodi is a beautifully designed property with incredible attention to detail. From the sky-blue shutters that frame the windows to the eye-catching feature walls in each bedroom, the entire villa flows with a cool and contemporary style.
The ground floor is completely open plan, creating a bright and spacious atmosphere. It features:
A large living area with a plush corner sofa
A sleek, fully-equipped monochrome kitchen with breakfast bar
A separate dining area for shared meals and gatherings
The main house offers four fabulous en suite bedrooms spread across two floors, each with its own private balcony and breathtaking views down to St Stephano and across the sea.
An external annexe adds further flexibility, housing two more twin en suite bedrooms—one with its own mini kitchen—and a playroom with a large screen TV and comfy seating. Ideal for families or groups looking for both privacy and comfort.
Outdoor Living at Its Finest
The villa's outdoor space is just as impressive, with a large pool area, a wraparound terrace, and panoramic sea views. There's plenty of room for al fresco dining, lounging, and entertaining, plus a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbecue—perfect for evening gatherings under the stars.
Location, Location, Location
Villa Rodi is perfectly situated just under 2km from the charming harbour village of Agios Stefanos (St Stephano). A downhill walk of about 20 minutes takes you into this peaceful, postcard-perfect spot, offering a handful of tavernas, bars, and small shops. Our favourite? Taverna Galini, where Nikos and the team looked after us like family each time we visited.
Just a short drive away, you'll find Kassiopi, with more shops and restaurants, and the remarkable Kerasia Beach, known for its calm, clear waters.
A Glimpse into Agios Stefanos (North West)
While most of our stay centred around Agios Stefanos on the northeast coast, it’s worth noting there’s another Agios Stefanos on Corfu’s northwest side. This was originally a fishing village for the inland town of Avliotes. With a population of just 260 (as of 2021), this peaceful village still thrives on fishing and offers a beautiful beach, traditional church, and views across to the Diapontia Islands. It’s about 35 km (roughly 1 hour 15 minutes by car) from Corfu Town.
Memorable Experiences: Private Dining & Sailing
One of the highlights of our stay was the in-villa dining experience with the incredible chef Costas, who selects the freshest local produce and prepares delicious meals on-site—saving you time and effort while allowing for total relaxation. It was such a wonderful evening that we invited Costas and his wife Lydia to return for a second night!
Another standout experience was spending a day on a private boat, complete with our own skipper, who took us to hidden bays and secluded swimming spots. We stopped for lunch at Thalassa Seafood Tavern in the idyllic bay of Kaminaki Beach—an absolute must when visiting Corfu!
A Day Trip to Corfu Town
Located just over an hour from the villa, Corfu Town (Kerkyra) is a cultural treasure. Shaped by Venetian, French, and British influences, it offers a rich blend of architecture, charm, and history. Some highlights include:
Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Narrow cobbled streets (kantounia), pastel buildings, churches, and artisan shops.
Venetian Fortresses: The Old and New Fortresses offer sweeping views and fascinating history.
Liston Promenade: A French-style arcade lined with cafes overlooking Spianada Square—the largest square in Greece.
Museums: Don’t miss the Museum of Asian Art, Byzantine Museum, and Casa Parlante for a dose of culture.
Tip: If you’re planning to visit Corfu Town, parking can be challenging—I recommend arranging a transfer or taxi for a more relaxing experience.
Other Towns of Interest
Kassiopi – A lively seaside village with restaurants, shops, and history.
Dassia – Known for its resort vibe and beachfront.

A villa holiday offers unmatched privacy, space, and flexibility—perfect for families, groups of friends, or special celebrations. The added luxury of in-house dining, private boat hire, optional yoga sessions, and proximity to authentic Greek tavernas and secluded beaches only enhances the experience.
