Vancouver & Las Vegas

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from Vancouver but I was in for a very pleasant surprise. Set on the Pacific coast of Canada and blessed with a great climate, Vancouver is a picturesque as it gets.

Surrounded by mountains, dotted with parks and large outdoor public pools it’s a mecca for all sorts of travellers be it active and adventure travellers, honeymooners, artists, families or people cruising out of Vancouver on an Alaskan cruise.

We hired bikes, took an incredible seaplane ride, shopped, took a day trip to Whistler and enjoyed lovely evenings in waterside restaurants taking in the stunning views. Vancouver is a cosmopolitan, safe and vibrant city and the gateway to the Rockies and a huge array of wildlife. It’s also easy to combine with California, Las Vegas, Chicago or New York.

Las Vegas, is always one of my favourite places to visit. We spent 3 nights in The Venetian Hotel at the end of the trip. We loved this hotel with its elegant décor, all suite rooms, great casino and fantastic pool. During our time here, we shopped in the outlets, caught a show and enjoyed a day in the nearby waterpark.
