Little Girl, Big Adventure , Last minute Lanzarote Escape
Sometimes the best trips are the ones you don’t even see coming…
This Bank Holiday, it was just me and Mum ~ a surprise adventure to Lanzarote! We booked it really last minute, and I couldn’t believe it when we pulled up to Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada. I loved the entrance and everything sparkled, from the marble floors to the welcoming smiles of the staff.
Our room was so cool ~ we had a Preferred Club Ocean View one, which meant we could see the sea from our balcony every morning. ( We love the Seas) We even had a special check-in area and a fancy lounge with snacks (which I may have visited a lot). Mum says it was worth the upgrade ~ I say it made me feel like a VIP!
Every day we had ice cream by the pool, and Mum treated us to the Balinese beds, they were sooo comfy. At night, I got to stay up and watch the sunsets in my hotel robe, which made me feel very grown-up.
One of my favourite parts was just exploring Playa Blanca. It’s really beautiful, with a lovely promenade, pretty beaches, and lots of places to grab a snack or juice or ice cream. I loved walking there with Mum in the evenings.
This wasn’t one of our usual perfectly planned holidays. It was even better. It was just the two of us, making it up as we went along , swimming, laughing, eating, and just enjoying being together.
Mum always says seeing the world through my eyes makes everything more magical. I think this time, I saw it through hers too.
Unplanned. Unexpected. Totally unforgettable.
