Rome, Florence and Pisa by Rail

7 nights from €2,220 per person

Three of Italy’s best-known cities in one easy week, connected by first-class rail. This couples trip moves from Rome’s ancient streets and neighborhoods food to Renaissance Florence, before one final night beneath Pisa’s famous leaning tower.

Highlights

  • Taste local dishes on a small-group Rome street food tour, with stops chosen around seasonal ingredients.
  • Walk between Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps with a local guide.
  • Travel from Rome to Florence by first-class rail in under 90 minutes.
  • See Michelangelo’s David and the exterior of Florence’s cathedral on an included city walking tour.
  • Visit the Galileo Museum, where scientific instruments trace Florence’s role in astronomy and discovery.
  • Finish in Pisa with a guided visit to the Leaning Tower and the monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli.

Rome

Begin in central Rome, with the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Piazza Navona all close enough to explore on foot. Between the main sights, take time for coffee in quieter side streets, browse small food shops and see how quickly the city changes once you move away from the busiest squares.

Food and Landmarks in Rome

An evening street food tour introduces the flavours of the city through seasonal tastings and neighbourhood stops you might otherwise miss. The following day, a guided walk links Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, helping you see how Rome’s historic centre fits together rather than visiting each landmark in isolation.

From Rome to Florence

Travel first class from Roma Termini to Florence, reaching the heart of Tuscany in under 90 minutes. By early afternoon, you can be walking beside the Arno, crossing Ponte Vecchio or standing beneath the striped marble façade of the Duomo, with the city’s main sights all within easy reach.

Florence

Your guided tour brings together Michelangelo’s David and Florence Cathedral, two sights that explain why the city became central to the Renaissance. The Galileo Museum adds a different side through early telescopes, maps and scientific instruments, while free time gives you the chance to visit Piazza della Signoria or climb to Piazzale Michelangelo for views across the rooftops.

From Florence to Pisa

Continue by first-class rail to Pisa for the final night, arriving with enough time to see more than the famous photograph. The guided visit covers the Leaning Tower and the wider cathedral complex, while staying overnight lets you return to Piazza dei Miracoli later in the day when the crowds have thinned and the square feels far calmer.
