Majorca Family Villa: Pollença & the North

14 nights from €1,880 per person

Fourteen nights in a private three-bedroom villa in Pollença, one of Majorca's most sought-after spots for families who want space, sun and the freedom to do it their own way. A hire car is included for the full two weeks, so beaches, mountain villages and the quieter corners of the north are all within easy reach. No transfers to worry about, no shared pool with fifty other guests, just your own space in one of the best parts of the island.

Highlights

  • Stay in a private three-bedroom villa in Pollença, with your own space, pool and self-catering facilities for the full fourteen nights
  • Drive to the Formentor Peninsula at the northern tip of Majorca, where a narrow mountain road leads to a lighthouse with views over the sea on both sides
  • Spend a day at Cala Sant Vicenç, a cluster of four small coves just a few minutes from Pollença with clear shallow water that is ideal for children
  • Explore the weekly market in Pollença town, held every Sunday in the main square and one of the best on the island for local produce, crafts and people-watching
  • Head south to Alcúdia, a walled medieval town with a long sandy beach and a shallow bay that is one of the safest and most family-friendly stretches of coastline in Majorca

Pollença Pollença sits in the northwest of Majorca, in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and a short drive from some of the best beaches on the island. It is a proper Mallorcan town with a market square, a hilltop calvary reached by 365 stone steps and a relaxed pace that suits families well. The villa is self-catering, giving you a kitchen, your own outdoor space, pool and none of the routine of a hotel. Fourteen nights here is enough time to properly settle in, find your favourite beach and still have days left over to explore.

The North With a hire car included for the full two weeks, the northern part of the island is easy to cover at your own pace. The Formentor Peninsula is a short drive from Pollença and one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in the western Mediterranean. Alcúdia, about twenty minutes east, has a walled old town worth an afternoon and a long shallow bay that works well for younger children. The roads are good and distances are short, which makes the car genuinely useful from day one.

Beaches The beaches closest to Pollença are among the best on the island for families. Cala Sant Vicenç is just a few minutes by car and offers four sheltered coves with calm, clear water. Port de Pollença has a long sandy beach right in the town with plenty of cafés and restaurants along the front. Further afield, the beaches around Alcúdia Bay offer wide stretches of sand and water that stays shallow a long way out, which makes it one of the most popular spots on the island for families with younger children.
