Las Vegas to Zion

The journey begins in Las Vegas, with three nights to see the Strip, catch a show or spend an evening beneath the lights of Fremont Street. From here, collect your car and leave the city behind as the road moves into Utah and the sandstone walls of Zion begin to close around the Virgin River.

Zion to Moab

Continue through Bryce Canyon, where walking trails lead between rows of orange rock spires, before reaching Capitol Reef and the orchards of Fruita. The drive then carries on to Moab, with three nights to explore the natural arches east of town and look across the vast canyons carved by the Colorado and Green rivers.

Moab to the Colorado mountains

Leaving Utah, the route crosses into Colorado and begins to climb towards the San Juan Mountains. Telluride sits deep in a narrow valley, where a free gondola links the historic town with Mountain Village above. From there, continue south to Durango, known for its old railway and riverside setting.

Through southern Colorado to Denver

The final stretch passes through Alamosa for Great Sand Dunes National Park, where the tallest dunes in North America rise against a mountain backdrop. Colorado Springs brings the red-rock formations of Garden of the Gods before the road ends in Denver, giving you two nights to explore Union Station, RiNo and the city centre.
