Tokyo
Tokyo starts the trip with the full hit of modern Japan. This is where glowing crossings, high-rise views, tiny ramen bars, quiet shrines and polished shopping districts all sit within the same city. Four nights gives you time to explore properly, from the energy of Shibuya and Shinjuku to calmer temple corners and food streets that show just how exciting Tokyo can be.
Kyoto
The bullet train takes you from Tokyo into a very different side of Japan. Kyoto is the part of the journey for temple gardens, traditional lanes, tea houses, shrines and the atmosphere people often picture when they think of old Japan. Staying near Kiyomizu places you close to one of the city’s most atmospheric areas, with hillside streets, wooden buildings and historic sights nearby.
Kyoto and Nara Tour
The included day tour gives this part of the trip real depth. Kyoto brings the temples, heritage and beauty of Japan’s former capital, while Nara adds another layer with ancient Buddhist sites and its famous deer park. It is a day for classic Japan, with history, architecture and scenery beyond the main city streets.
Osaka
Osaka brings the food and nightlife side of Japan into focus. It is a city made for wandering after dark, with bright signs, busy arcades and canal-side streets around Dotonbori. This is where to look for takoyaki, okonomiyaki, sushi counters, late-night snacks and a more relaxed city feel before flying south to Vietnam.
Hoi An
Hoi An gives the journey a warm coastal finish. By day, you have beach time, markets, tailoring, cafés and easy access to the old town’s merchant houses and riverside streets. By night, the lanterns come on, the riverfront fills with colour and the town takes on the atmosphere that makes Hoi An one of Vietnam’s most loved stops. Four nights here gives the trip a softer ending after the movement of Japan.
