Bangkok by the river
The journey opens in Bangkok, where the Chao Phraya River gives the city a natural starting point. From Anantara Riverside Bangkok, use the stay for temples, markets, street food and time on the water, then return to the resort’s gardens, pool and restaurants. The included private walking tour adds a more personal first look at the city, with a local host helping you find the places that match how you like to explore.
Ho Chi Minh City
From Bangkok, fly to Ho Chi Minh City for three nights at Hotel Grand Saigon. This is Vietnam at its busiest, with French colonial buildings, rooftop bars, markets and motorbikes all part of the city’s character. The included full-day Cu Chi Tunnels and city tour gives the stay more context, connecting the city centre with the underground tunnel network used during the Vietnam War.
Hoi An
The route then moves north to Da Nang and on to Hoi An for four nights at Allegro Hoi An Little Luxury Hotel & Spa. Hoi An is one of Vietnam’s easiest places to enjoy on foot, with old merchant houses, lanterns, riverside cafés and tailor shops close together in the ancient town. The longer stay gives you time to wander in the evening, visit the markets or spend part of the day by the coast.
Hanoi
The final stop is Hanoi, with three nights at La Siesta Classic Hang Thung. The city feels different from the south, with narrow old-quarter streets, lakes, cafés and food stalls creating a strong sense of place. The included half-day guided tour with lunch is a good way to bring the final stop together before the journey home, especially if you want help navigating the capital’s history, street life and local dishes.
