Elephant Hills
The Activities Learning how to prepare food for the Elephants and feeding and interacting with them Canoe Safari down the Sok River Movie Presentation Dance Performances (from local schools, outside of school time so not taking away from education!) Longtail Boat ride to the Chaow Larn Lake Time on the lake or an overnight stay depending on what you book. Jumping off the pontoon, SUP and kayaking was all so much fun. Rainforest Trek
The Camp There was a large open plan reception and restaurant, where we checked in. There were two water coolers which were used to get a refill of cold water at any stage. The food was possibly the best I had during the trip, with lots of delicious Thail options (Tourist spicy, not Thai spicy!) as well as plenty of more western style food too and a kid’s buffet. I loved that the kids buffet opened a little bit before the adults, giving parents a chance to feed the kids before relaxing for their own meal. There was a dance performance each night as well as a little educational video. There was a beautiful swimming pool. Our luxury tent was so STURDY! It was beautifully laid out and we really had an authentic jungle experience while enjoying a comfy bed and full bathroom.
The People We were introduced to our guide, Kong, on arrival. She was exceptional, knowledgeable and very kind. I was so impressed that she took the time to get to know everyone name made time to speak with everyone individually. She really made the entire trip all come together.
