The Launch of Silver Endeavour by Silversea Cruises

Building on its predominance in the world of ultra-luxury and expedition cruises, Silversea Cruises has just welcomed Silver Endeavour to its stunning 11-strong fleet, bringing its total number of expedition ships to five.

Custom-designed to take guests to both polar regions – the world’s most remote destinations – Silver Endeavour is one of the most luxurious expedition ships on the globe. Entering service in November 2022, from the 2022/2023 Antarctica season she will replace Silver Explorer. Itineraries will include the latter’s vastly popular Antarctica Bridge sailings, which miss out the iconic Drake Passage for those who have less time or who suffer from seasickness, flying straight to the heart of Antarctica in just two hours instead.

These trips are the very essence of transformative travel, embracing close encounters with an array of incredible wildlife in spectacular landscapes. Step aboard and you may find yourself spotting polar bears, taking a Zodiac cruise to meet an Inuit community and kayaking glacial seas – all in the knowledge that you’ll be sitting down to feast on high-end cuisine in the evening.

What to Expect

The appetite for travel to remote and hard-to-access destinations is growing, but most customers want to do it in style and luxury. Silver Endeavour was built to PC6 polar class specifications and carries state-of-the-art amenities. Among these are more Zodiac boats per number of guests than anyone else in the industry, kayaks, and cutting-edge navigation and exploration technology, including a remote gimbal camera system that can capture high-quality images from a distance of 5km.

The vessel will also maintain Silversea’s trademark level of luxury, with a crew-to-guest ratio of approximately 1:1. The intimate atmosphere and lively interaction between guests and the cruise line’s expedition experts allows the latter to truly get under the skin of this  fascinating part of the world.

All-suite, Silver Endeavour is spread over eight public decks that offer guests the most spacious accommodation in expedition cruising, along with an array of restaurants, bars and lounges, an expansive spa, a two-storied solarium with a swimming pool and whirlpool, and several indoor and outdoor observation areas.

When booking a Silversea small-luxury ship cruise to the Arctic or Antarctic, you will enjoy private chauffeur-driven transport from home to airport and back again, reduced Business Class air fares or inclusive Economy Class round-trips (plus included charter/group flights when required by the itinerary), a one-night hotel stay, one day’s use of hotel facilities, transfers between airport, hotel and ship, included guided Zodiac sorties and other shore excursions, diverse cuisine in several restaurants with open-seating dining, drinks in-suite and throughout the ship, including champagne, hand-picked wines and spirits, and butler service in every suite, along with in-suite dining and room service.
