Kenya Safari and Zanzibar Beach Escape

This two week journey combines a guided safari through Kenya’s most well known wildlife regions with time on the coast in Zanzibar. It suits travellers who want structured game viewing with experienced guides, followed by a comfortable beach stay where everything is included. Flights, transfers and touring are all in place, so the focus is on the experience rather than planning the route.

Nairobi and Lake Nakuru

Arrive into Nairobi before heading out to Lake Nakuru National Park. This is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhino, along with large numbers of birdlife around the lake. Game drives take place morning and afternoon, with time to properly cover the park and understand how it works.

Lake Naivasha

From Nakuru, travel through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. A boat trip across the lake brings you close to hippos and birdlife, followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island where you move on foot among giraffes, zebra and wildebeest. A conservation talk with the Kenya Wildlife Service gives useful context on how wildlife protection works on the ground.

Masai Mara

The Masai Mara is the highlight of the safari. You stay in a tented camp inside the reserve, with multiple game drives across open plains known for lion, elephant, giraffe and large herds of grazing animals. Early morning and late afternoon drives give the best chance of sightings, with time back at camp in between.

Zanzibar

Fly to Zanzibar for six nights at The Mora in a Superior Junior Suite on an all inclusive basis. This part of the trip is about switching off after the safari. The beaches are long and white, the water is warm and calm, and the resort covers meals, drinks and activities on site. It is an easy finish after a busy first week.

Zanzibar Coast and Experiences

Alongside time at the resort, you can visit Stone Town for its markets and historic streets, or head inland to see how the island’s spice farms operate. Boat trips, snorkelling and sunset dhow cruises are also easy to arrange, giving you a few simple options during your stay.
