Club Med Magna Marbella
An Andalusian Oasis.
Sun-drenched days, mountain-to-sea views and effortless all-inclusive luxury, welcome to Club Med Magna Marbella. Set in lush, terraced gardens overlooking Marbella and the sparkling Costa del Sol, this contemporary resort reimagines the classic sunshine holiday. Think stylish pools and shaded daybeds, vibrant family areas and tranquil adults-only corners, gourmet dining with a Mediterranean flair and a full programme of sports and wellbeing designed to help every guest truly unwind.
My time at Club Med Magna Marbella was a short three‑day escape, so I was determined to make the most of every minute, and that is exactly what I did.
They say first impressions last, for me, that started at the airport. We were warmly greeted at Malaga by the Club Med team, handed a refreshing bottle of water and our room luggage tags, and then whisked off promptly by coach to the resort. After a very pleasant 45‑minute journey, an equally warm welcome awaited us at Club Med Magna Marbella. We were given our pretty wrist bracelets which, by all accounts, are quite the fashion statement at Club Med. Our luggage was taken directly to our rooms while we checked in and began our wonderful stay.

With a healthy appetite, we headed straight to Suenos, the main restaurant, for lunch. This is an experience in itself. I am not usually a huge fan of buffets, but this one could easily convert me. The food stations will keep you coming back for more. What impressed me most was the presence of chefs at each individual station. While there are dishes ready to enjoy, there is also constant cooking of fresh food right in front of you, which really adds to the sense of quality and care. From starters through to dessert, there is always a chef preparing fresh batches of fish, pasta, meats, pizzas, beautiful vegetables, salads, Thai and Indian cuisine, and everything in between.
Now, let’s talk about the ice cream. All I can say is wow. Children and adults alike will be in their element with the variety of flavours, and the desserts are simply delightful. You will definitely want to make the most of the activities on site, because you will most certainly be indulging at mealtimes. I was particularly impressed by the dedicated baby station with freshly prepared purees, as well as the strong emphasis on a children’s menu with healthy options and specially crafted Mini Club Med+ cocktails. Everything feels very thoughtfully presented and impeccably maintained, which really enhances the overall experience.
Tierra Restaurant is the resort’s alternative for a sit‑down, table‑service meal and is perfect if you are looking for a more romantic dinner for two. Throughout the day, snacks and small bites are served at Rouge Bar beside the main pool, ideal for a quick refuel between activities. Club Med Magna Marbella is an all‑inclusive resort, so your beverages are included as well. Do make sure to try the beer on tap in Suenos.
I stayed in a Superior room with a mountain view. The room was very spacious, with a large balcony and a walk‑in rain shower. The layout is clever, with the lavatory separate from the bathroom, which is ideal for couples. There is plenty of storage, a large flat‑screen TV with a good selection of channels, and the bed was superbly comfortable. I genuinely think I woke up in the exact position I fell asleep in. Housekeeping do an excellent job as the room always felt fresh, spotless and inviting when I came back from a day in the sun. Your wrist bracelet also acts as your room key, which is incredibly handy. No chance of misplacing a key card or trekking back to reception to have it revalidated. Room types include Superior, Deluxe and Suites, with both mountain and sea views, plus many interconnecting options for larger families.

The main focus at Club Med is the vast offering of sports and activities, and Club Med Magna Marbella is no exception. Practically all activities are included and unlimited. You can choose from tennis, padel, table tennis, boules, archery, golf lessons, cardio training, team sports and a wide range of fitness classes including yoga, aerial yoga and access to the gym. They offer beginner and improver lessons in most activities, as well as various tournaments. The range really does cover everyone from children to adults. Eager to try something new, I loved the archery, golf lessons and, in particular, aerial yoga.

For the more adventurous, there is also the flying trapeze and other circus activities. These looked like such fun, although time did not permit me to try them on this trip. Perhaps that was for the best, or a perfect excuse to return. Before you travel, I would recommend downloading the Club Med app. From there you can see exactly what is available hour by hour and day by day. It is exceptionally user‑friendly, even if you are not especially tech‑savvy.
We were able to have a peek into the children’s club and I was incredibly impressed. The children appeared to be exceptionally well looked after and looked to be having so much fun. They have their own pool with a lifeguard and also get to try many of the sports activities. Padel seems to be especially popular, but they also offer family tournaments and games, arts and crafts, showtime, and a water games area. Club Med Magna Marbella is very well set up for all ages, with a Baby Club from 4 months, Petit Club from 2 to 3 years, Mini Club from 4 to 10 years, Teens Club from 11 to 13 years, and Chill Pass for 14 to 17 years. That is the whole family catered for, with safe, clean and carefully managed spaces designed around each age group.
Grown‑ups are not forgotten. There is a beautiful spa with a tempting menu of treatments if you are looking for some proper relaxation. The main pool is a hive of activity all day long. You can simply lounge on a cabana or join in with the aquafitness. There is also an indoor pool if you want to escape the midday heat, a kids’ club pool and splash park for younger guests, and my personal favourite of course was the Zen Pool. This peaceful, adults‑only area feels wonderfully premium, with a calm atmosphere, comfortable loungers and pristine surroundings.

During the day there is a real beach‑party vibe, with live music, DJs, local entertainment, dancing and fun surprises for everyone. This energy carries into the evenings, with live music, shows and then a nightclub for the grown‑ups. There is a constant buzz throughout the resort and always something going on for every age group. From the youngest guests to the grandparents, Club Med Magna Marbella really does offer something for everyone.

Club Med Magna Marbella really delivers that premium, carefree leisure feel. Beautifully maintained spaces, immaculate public areas and a real attention to cleanliness that you notice everywhere from the restaurants to the pools and rooms. It is the kind of place where you can genuinely switch off, eat well, play hard or simply relax in style, knowing everything is taken care of. If you would like to experience it for yourself, I would be delighted to put together a personalised stay for you and your family or friends, tailored around the dates, room types and activities that suit you best.
