Fabulous Agadir- wild Atlantic adventure

Deborah van Coller on 01 Nov 2025

The adventure in the sun awaited as we left cold and dark Dublin!

I had the privilege of visiting beautiful Agadir in November 2025, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Leaving behind the cold, grey skies of Ireland, I stepped off the plane into blissful 29-degree heat. It felt like pure perfection—an instant mood lift and exactly the kind of escape I had been craving. I had my husband and three teenagers with me, and from the very start, the adventure truly began. From the moment we arrived, all I can say is: friendly, gentle, and incredible hospitality. Everywhere we went, we were met with warm smiles and genuine kindness that made us feel instantly at ease. It set the tone for the entire trip and made everything feel effortless. We had a short transfer to the magnificent Taghazout Bay Surf Village, and it instantly felt like we had stepped into a completely different world. The coastline stretched endlessly ahead, the Atlantic shimmering in the sun, and the relaxed surf-town atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. We were warmly greeted by the staff at the Radisson Hotel, and from that very first welcome, we knew we were in good hands. Check-in was smooth, relaxed, and professional, and we immediately felt looked after. We stayed in a luxurious two-bedroom free-standing chalet, which became our home away from home. Spacious, stylish, and perfectly suited for a family of five, it gave us the ideal balance of comfort and privacy. You could even hear the waves rolling in at night, which made everything feel even more special—and we couldn’t wait to try the in-house surf school! Surfing has always been close to my heart, and being South African, I’ll admit I am fairly fussy when it comes to beaches. I’ve grown up with some of the world’s most beautiful coastlines, so expectations are high—but Agadir did not disappoint...Perfect surfing waves, unspoilt endless beaches, and so much sunshine—Agadir delivered all of this and more. It had that rare combination of natural beauty and calm energy that makes you slow down and just take it all   hotel itself was exceptional. The service was the best we experienced anywhere, and the food was next level. From BBQ nights with freshly grilled favourites to generous buffet evenings, every meal felt like an experience. One of our highlights was the small Italian restaurant on site—cosy, authentic, and consistently delicious! We also made the most of the active side of the resort. Early morning runs along the promenade became a daily ritual, we hired bikes to explore, and the surf school kept everyone entertained. It truly is the best resort for young teens or an active family—there was never a dull moment. Beyond the resort, Morocco continued to amaze us. Sunsets were unforgettable—golden skies melting into the Atlantic. We enjoyed camel rides along the coast, wandered through vibrant local markets, and soaked up every moment of culture and colour. And then there were those evenings where we simply sat back and thought: this is exactly what we came for. Agadir did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded every expectation. I cannot wait to go back—thank you, lovely Morocco, and see you soon!!
