So why Seville?

So why did I choose Seville for this trip? Was it to eat my way around the city with more tapas than you could think of? Or to enjoy the history with a dash of sangria? Yes but also I’ve lots of requests for three stop European Honeymoons. I’m finding more and more couple want to do two or three European countries for their Honeymoon.

Seville is an amazing city in its own right but it offers many fantastic connections to other European countries and honeymoon hot spots. I wanted to see if the city offered the appropriate wow for a honeymoon and it certainly does.

Here’s just some of the connections you can tie in with Seville. *Bari - to explore Southern Italy. *Barcelona- to catch a cruise. *Pisa - to access Tuscany and its amazing walled cities. *Naples- to visit the Amalfi Coast. *Rome - for historic Rome itself but also a connection point to the Greek islands, Santorini, Corfu, Crete & Rhodes, Zakynthos for lots of island hopping options & many cruises depart from Rome too. *Venice - take the ferry from here to Croatia to explore this beautiful part of the world.

But before you fly off enjoy some of the sights Seville has to offer.

Plaza De Espana was a favourite. The Plaza de España is a huge half-circle; the buildings are accessible by four bridges over the moat. Covered in Bea Spanish tiles. Taking 15 years to build its sheer size is incredible. It has also been used as a backdrop in several Hollywood films, Lawrence of Arabia, The Dictator, and even Star Wars.

Also the Metropol Parasol consists of six large timber parasols above, shading the Plaza de la Encarnación and protecting an archaeological site. The structure creates shadows that move continuously throughout the day and you can access the roof area for a gorgeous light show which is best seen in the golden hour. Really unusual and worth a trip.
