Dubai: A Journey of Luxury from Dublin to the Desert
First Stop: Jumeirah Al Qasr – Arabian Opulence by the Sea Our first few nights were spent at the Jumeirah Al Qasr, a palatial resort inspired by traditional Arabian architecture. “Al Qasr” means “The Palace” - and it’s exactly that. Surrounded by lush gardens, winding waterways, and a private stretch of pristine beach, the property offers a true escape. Mornings were spent enjoying leisurely breakfasts overlooking the sea, and afternoons wandering through Souk Madinat Jumeirah - the hotel’s own traditional-style marketplace filled with boutique shops, cafés, and charming canals.
The Grand Finale: Burj Al Arab – The World’s Most Luxurious Hotel: For the final two nights, we checked into the Burj Al Arab, an experience like no other. From the private reception on each floor to the floor-to-ceiling views of the Arabian Gulf, every detail exudes exclusivity. The duplex suite felt like a private palace in the sky, with gold accents, plush furnishings, and a butler on call 24/7.
Why Dubai? Dubai is more than skyscrapers and shopping malls. It’s a destination of contrasts - where desert meets the sea, tradition meets innovation, and every moment can be tailored to your own pace. Dubai is a place where no two days are the same - where ancient souks meet futuristic skylines, where you can spend the morning at the beach and the evening in the desert. Whether it’s for a romantic escape, a family adventure, or a once-in-a-lifetime luxury holiday, Dubai has something for everyone.
If you’d like to follow in my footsteps - direct flights from Dublin, world-class hotels, and a carefully curated itinerary, I’d be delighted to help you plan your own Dubai escape.
