Superb South Africa - a client review
A client review of their recent holiday in Cape Town, The Winelands and on safari.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for organising our special holiday, it
just got better & better as the holiday went on, V & A Waterfront was a
very good start, the hotel was good & catered very well for my gluten free
diet, disappointed about Robben Island being cancelled due to the winds, but it couldn’t be helped, we had
plenty of time to wander around & see what we wanted.

Then moving on to Franschhoek, so pretty, the Boutique Hotel - La Fontaine was brilliant, not too big & they gave us a lovely room, not sure if ours was extra special but it was beautiful, the staff there were so friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble, they even went to the shops for some gluten free bread for me. The only thing that was a little awkward was breakfast didn’t start till 8am & we had to be down at the Wine Tram for 9.15, so we did mention it & one of the staff ran us down to the tram, which was only a 15 min walk, but after a full breakfast we didn’t fancy rushing down, they were so helpful & it wasn’t a problem, so I would recommend the hotel. The wine tram was fab too & the views & the area beautiful, we managed to do 3 wineries the last one being Richard Branson’s Mont Rochelle, & that was so pretty we stayed for a full glass of wine & something to eat.

Then onto Kapama, oh my goodness, you definitely saved the best till last, it was amazing, the staff were again very friendly & helpful, my diet was catered for 100% our waiter Austin was on it every day, I felt very confident he knew what he was talking about. The safaris were fab we saw the big 5 & more, they even sent gluten free snacks out on safari for me. I am not sure if they had upgraded our room as we were in a Tamboti suite which was excellent & felt very special, I thought we were in Marula suite which also looked very nice, but it was a lovely surprise. So thank you, & all 3 hotels treated us very well & did know it was a special holiday for us for our 30th wedding anniversary, Kapama put us in a special room for dinner one evening for our special occasion which was another lovely surprise.
My dietary requirements & allergies are an important part of my every day
life & I feel every single one of the people in Africa knew how important
it was & it was never in any doubt, which I am afraid puts the UK to shame
as we definitely do not have the same knowledge!!

So all in all it was absolutely wonderful & we have such lovely photos & fabulous memories of a brilliant African adventure for us. Nick even said he thoroughly enjoyed all of it, even though he had so many worries about it. Not sure if we could ever top it, but we enjoyed it all being planned & organised. Thank you for organising for us.
