Disneyland Adventures
Come with me to explore Disneyland and take in the sights of Paris.
In 2024 I enjoyed a magical
three‑night escape to Disneyland Paris with my family, blending the fun and
fantasy of the Disney parks with a memorable day discovering Paris itself. If
you are dreaming of a short break that keeps everyone happy, from little ones
to teens and even the grown‑ups, this combination works beautifully
.
Where we stayed: an off‑site hotel with pool & shuttle. It was a fantastic option for families with regular shuttle service to and from the Disney parks, which made getting around simple and stress‑free. We could pop back to the hotel easily if anyone needed a break. There was a swimming pool at the hotel, a huge hit at the end of the day. After hours of rides, parades and walking, a splash in the pool was exactly what we needed to unwind
We had two‑day park tickets which allowed us to explore both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park at a relaxed pace.
Our first day was dedicated
to Disneyland Park, the iconic fairy‑tale world most people picture when
they think of Disney. Walking down Main
Street, U.S.A. with music playing and the sight of Sleeping Beauty
Castle ahead really set the tone for the trip. The parades and character
moments added that extra sparkle. Even if you think you are “too old” for
it, there is something genuinely heart‑warming about seeing the characters
come to life.
On our second park day we went between Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland park. The studios are more cinematic and immersive feel, with areas themed around Disney and Pixar films. We enjoyed shows, stunt‑style attractions and a few of the big‑ticket rides that are ideal for older children and teens. Having the second day meant we did not feel rushed. We could go back to favourite rides, enjoy longer lunches and soak up the atmosphere rather than racing around.
On our final day we left the Disney bubble and headed into central Paris for a one‑day highlights tour. It was the ideal way to round off the trip and add a little culture and sightseeing.
No trip to Paris is complete
without seeing the Eiffel Tower and to make the most of limited
time we used a hop‑on, hop‑off bus tour. This was a relaxed way
to see many of the main sights without worrying about navigating
the metro or taxis with tired children. We could listen to the
commentary, get a sense of the different neighbourhoods and decide where
to hop off for a stroll or coffee.
We also visited the Louvre Museum to see the Mona Lisa,
With a bit of planning around timings and tickets, it is absolutely possible to combine a Disney stay with a short, family‑friendly art and history experience in the city.
