Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek
Your Namibian adventure begins in Windhoek, where you’ll collect your rental vehicle and check into The Weinberg, a stylish boutique hotel. Take the afternoon to explore the capital’s charming mix of colonial and modern architecture or relax at the hotel’s rooftop bar with sweeping city views.
Day 2-3: Journey to Sossusvlei – The Heart of the Namib Desert
Drive south into the vast Namib Desert, where the towering dunes of Sossusvlei create a surreal landscape. Spend two nights at Le Mirage Resort & Spa, a unique lodge surrounded by desert scenery. Wake up early for a guided excursion to Deadvlei and Big Daddy Dune, where the dramatic contrast of orange sand and ancient white clay pans offers breathtaking photography opportunities. Day 11: Okonjima Nature Reserve – Home of the AfriCat Foundation
Your final safari stop is Okonjima Nature Reserve, home to the renowned AfriCat Foundation, dedicated to the conservation of Namibia’s big cats. Stay at Okonjima Plains Camp and embark on a cheetah or leopard-tracking excursion, learning about these magnificent predators in their natural habitat.
Day 12: Return to Windhoek & Departure
After a leisurely morning at Okonjima, make your way back to Windhoek for your onward journey.
