Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Your Namibian adventure begins in Windhoek, where you’ll collect your rental vehicle and check into The Weinberg, a stylish boutique hotel. Take the afternoon to explore the capital’s charming mix of colonial and modern architecture or relax at the hotel’s rooftop bar with sweeping city views.

Day 2-3: Journey to Sossusvlei – The Heart of the Namib Desert

Drive south into the vast Namib Desert, where the towering dunes of Sossusvlei create a surreal landscape. Spend two nights at Le Mirage Resort & Spa, a unique lodge surrounded by desert scenery. Wake up early for a guided excursion to Deadvlei and Big Daddy Dune, where the dramatic contrast of orange sand and ancient white clay pans offers breathtaking photography opportunities. Explore Sesriem Canyon, a natural gorge carved by the Tsauchab River, and enjoy spectacular sunsets over the desert.

Day 4-5: Coastal Charm in Swakopmund

Head west to the Atlantic coast and the charming seaside town of Swakopmund, where adventure and relaxation blend seamlessly. Day 6-7: Ancient Landscapes of Damaraland

Stay at the stunning Mowani Mountain Camp, nestled among granite boulders. Visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with thousands of ancient rock engravings, explore the fascinating Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain, and keep an eye out for desert-adapted elephants roaming the dry riverbeds.

Day 8-9: Safari in Etosha National Park (Western & Central Side)

Continue your journey to Etosha National Park, Namibia’s premier wildlife destination. Your first stop is Okaukuejo Camp, famous for its floodlit waterhole, where elephants, rhinos, and lions gather at night. Spend your days on self-drive safaris, spotting an abundance of wildlife in Etosha’s vast open plains and shimmering salt pans.

Day 10: Exploring Eastern Etosha

Drive across the park towards the eastern side of Etosha, staying at the elegant Onguma Bush Camp. This region offers a more secluded safari experience, with opportunities for both self-drive and guided game drives. Expect encounters with giraffes, zebras, and large herds of antelope, along with predators like cheetahs and leopards.

Day 11: Okonjima Nature Reserve – Home of the AfriCat Foundation

Your final safari stop is Okonjima Nature Reserve, home to the renowned AfriCat Foundation, dedicated to the conservation of Namibia’s big cats. Stay at Okonjima Plains Camp and embark on a cheetah or leopard-tracking excursion, learning about these magnificent predators in their natural habitat.

Day 12: Return to Windhoek & Departure

After a leisurely morning at Okonjima, make your way back to Windhoek for your onward journey. If time allows, enjoy a final stop at one of the city’s local craft markets before heading to the airport, bringing home memories of Namibia’s breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
