Ecuador: An Adventurer's Paradise

Day 1: Welcome to Quito

Your Ecuadorian adventure begins in the high-altitude capital, Quito. Nestled in the Andes, this city is a blend of colonial charm and vibrant modernity. As you breathe in the crisp mountain air, you'll meet your fellow travellers and gather for an orientation at the luxurious Hilton Hotel. This evening, get a taste of what's to come with a traditional welcome dinner with your group, hosted by your CEO (Chief Experience Officer).

Day 2-3: Cotopaxi – Standing on the Equator

Depart Quito and journey to Cotopaxi, home to one of the world's highest active volcanoes. Here, at the very centre of the planet, you’ll explore the Mitad del Mundo and Intiñan Museum, where you can straddle both hemispheres, marvel at the towering stone monument and delve into the science and myths surrounding the equatorial line.

Explore Cotopaxi National Park’s stunning high Andean ecosystem. Trek to 4,800 meters for panoramic views and discover the Pucara de Salitre ruins. Back at your lodge, your gastronomic adventure awaits with a local chef who will guide you in crafting traditional Ecuadorian dishes, a culinary experience to savour.

Day 4-5: Baños – The Adventurer’s Playground

Next, head to Baños, a haven for thrill-seekers. Visit the thunderous El Pailón del Diablo (The Devil’s Cauldron) waterfall and explore the city’s vibrant streets, stopping at The Church of Our Lady of Holy Water. Here you will have an amazing day, with the option to choose between a Bike Tour From La Suiza to Baños or Hiking Between Torre al Cielo and the famous Swing at the End of the World at Casa del Arbol.

Day 6-7: Into the Amazon

Venture into the Amazon, a region teeming with exotic wildlife and lush biodiversity. Paddle along the Rio Napo to your eco-lodge and experience a true local living moment, visiting an Amazonian local family to gain insights into life in the Amazon.

Awaken to the sounds of the jungle and embark on a river tubing adventure, spotting native wildlife along the way. From medicinal plant walks to fresh meals at the lodge, your mind and body will be completely at ease in the middle of the jungle. Later, indulge in a foodie delight at a cacao and chocolate experience, learning about the importance of these crops to the local communities and sampling some delicious treats.

Day 8: Relaxing in Papallacta

On your way back to Quito, stop at Papallacta, renowned for its geothermal hot springs. Soak in the therapeutic waters and enjoy a moment of tranquillity as you let the natural warmth rejuvenate your sore muscles before returning to the capital for a peaceful nights sleep.

Day 9-11: Isabela Island – Galápagos Wonders

Fly to Isabela Island in the Galápagos, where evolution comes to life. Snorkel in crystal-clear waters, encountering unique marine life and exploring lava-formed tunnels. Spend your afternoons at leisure, perhaps trying surfing, or hiking coastal trails for stunning vistas.

Day 12-13: Santa Cruz Island – Conservation and Discovery

Discover Santa Cruz Island, the heart of the archipelago. Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, where conservation efforts preserve the islands' delicate ecosystem. Encounter giant tortoises in their natural habitats and explore subterranean lava tunnels. At El Trapiche, a traditional sugar cane mill, learn about local distilling techniques and products before heading to Garrapatero beach for some kayaking, tidal pool gazing or wildlife spotting in the lagoon.

Day 14-15: Quito – Farewell to Ecuador

Return to Quito for your final two days. Wander through the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or simply relax and reflect on your journey. Share a farewell dinner with your travel companions, celebrating the adventures and friendships forged.

On your last day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before making your way to the airport, bringing home memories of Ecuador's incredible landscapes, diverse wildlife, and vibrant culture.
