Time here is centred around the river, with evening and early morning boat trips that give a clear view of daily rituals and prayer ceremonies along the ghats. A visit to nearby Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon, adds an important historical layer to the stay.

Lucknow

Travel onward to Lucknow, a city shaped by Mughal influence and a long standing food tradition. A guided visit to Bara Imambara introduces the city’s history, followed by a local food walk that covers dishes once cooked for royal households alongside everyday street food still eaten today.
