Family and friends travelling together
MSC World America
MSC World America, launched in April 2025, is one of MSC’s cutting-edge World Class ships, built to host up to 6,764 guests.
When MSC World America was launched last year, I immediately said to myself, “I have to go on that ship with my family.” I had always dreamed of doing a Caribbean cruise, and the moment I saw this ship, I took the chance.
I booked the cruise first for my family, and then I invited friends to join us because I knew this ship truly has something for everyone.
The ship is impressive, with 22 decks, including 16 guest decks, 7 pools (one with a sliding roof and one exclusive to the MSC Yacht Club), and 13 whirlpool baths, including one for Yacht Club guests.
One thing I love about cruising with MSC is how easy it is to customize your trip. You can add drink packages and specialty dining, which really elevates the experience. On this cruise, there are 6 specialty restaurants, offering plenty of choice. We also added the Trip Package, which I highly recommend.
My tip: add your extras before you board the ship. You’ll save a lot of money this way especially on drink packages. Once onboard, I suggest booking your specialty restaurants right away, particularly The Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse. It’s a must!
We also added the internet package, which made a huge difference since we were traveling with a large group and could easily stay in touch.
Another highlight of this
trip was the kids club. Many hotels charge for children under 3 years
old, but that’s not the case with MSC Cruises. This service is available for 6
hours a day while the ship is sailing, which was perfect for us.
I would drop my toddler off from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5
p.m. to 8 p.m. The Mini Club (ages 3–6) runs from 5 p.m. until 11
p.m. This is amazing on sea days you can enjoy the ship or have a relaxing
dinner with your partner
There is so much to do onboard that I honestly didn’t get to see everything.
Ocean Cay (Bahamas): THE. HIGHLIGHT.
Natural beaches, a crystal-clear lagoon, and fish swimming all around us the kids were in absolute heaven! And our cabana? Pure perfection. Comfortable chairs, float mats, a cooler stocked with water, it felt like a beach holiday upgrade and was worth every moment. So, you need to add it to your booking in advance. It was totally worth it for us and you can use premium drinks package on the Island.
Cabin Experience
Our Infinite Ocean Cabin was a dream. Spacious, a comfy sofa-bed for the tiny crew, plenty of storage, and that infinity window? It truly feels like you’re floating right on the ocean.
Now, let’s talk about drinks. With the Premium Drinks Package, you can order drinks priced up to $16, and the best part is that it covers most of the bars onboard, so you can enjoy drinks all around the ship without constantly checking prices.
The most expensive bar
onboard was ELIXIR – the cocktail bar with outdoor seating, where most
drinks cost around $18–$20. In this case, you simply pay the difference.
Right across from ELIXIR is the Champagne Bar, another fantastic spot, quiet,
sophisticated, and perfect for champagne and bubbles, paired with fine snacks. The
men in our group especially enjoyed the Sports Bar on the promenade,
with great views of the sea.
Overall, this cruise exceeded our expectations, and MSC World America truly delivered an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
