Ride the Aqua Slidecoaster to the USA

The striking new Norwegian Aqua isn’t just an incredible cruise ship. It’s home to the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide. If you consider yourself an adventurous seafarer, then its dual slides – which snake around the ship’s funnel and stand three stories high – are for you. Sailing from the UK to Boston, this is the ultimate transatlantic journey.

Ride the Aqua Slidecoaster to the USA

Let’s sail to…

The stunning new Norwegian Aqua, the first ship in Norwegian Cruise Line's Prima Plus Class, takes seven days to cross the Atlantic from Southampton to Boston. The emphasis is on fun, with a healthy dose of luxury to boot. It offers the opportunity to soak up London’s finest sights, from St Paul’s to Regent’s Park, before heading south to the coast and setting sail to historic Boston.

Once there, stroll through Franklin Park, take in a Red Sox game, and explore the superb Museum of Fine Arts. In between, kick back on board and enjoy the slow ride from one continent to another.

The experience onboard

With space for over 3,500 guests and spanning 1,056 feet, Norwegian Aqua has more outdoor space than any modern cruise liner. It’s got the highest staffing levels too, meaning you’ll be impressed by the crew from the moment you board.

The colourful hull art design by renowned street artist Allison Hueman is a sign of the ship’s vibrant nature. The Aqua Slidecoaster, Splash Academy, and wraparound Ocean Boulevard with its amazing glass walkway are sure to blow you away. Add duplex suites in The Haven by Norwegian®, a private keycard access complex with its own pool, sundeck, and 24-hour butler service, and you’ve got the ultimate cruise holiday

On-shore adventures

Before sailing from Southampton, take time to explore this amazing city steeped in maritime history. Head to the Mayflower Memorial to see where the first pilgrims left in search of a new life across the Atlantic, taking the same journey you’re about to embark on.

Once you dock in Boston, visit the Museum of Fine Arts, one of the USA’s finest galleries, with work by 19th-century American artists such as John Singer Sargent alongside French impressionism classics and Asian artworks by Hokusai.

Are you keen to see more of the USA and explore even further? Norwegian Aqua’s 7-day cruise from Florida to Great Stirrup Cay and the Dominican Republic, sailing April to August 2025, is for you. The cruise takes in Port Canaveral in Florida, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas (NCL's own private island oasis).

“It was our first cruising holiday, and my Travel Counsellor advised us on which ships to choose from, and we needed plenty to keep my eleven-year-old entertained. Norwegian Cruise Line was a perfect choice and I received first class service throughout the booking, and nothing was too much trouble.” - David, Travel Counsellors Customer
