Puglia: Polignano a Mare & Bari

Polignano a Mare
Spend the week based in Polignano a Mare, a clifftop town known for its sea views, swimming spots and compact historic centre. Your accommodation is Quintessenza Luxury Domus, a small adults only property set within walking distance of the old town and the coastline. Staying here works well if you like being able to head out on foot for meals, walks and swims rather than relying on transport each day.
One afternoon includes a boat trip along the coast to the sea caves around Polignano a Mare. This short trip gives a different view of the cliffs and coves from the water and includes time for swimming if conditions allow.
Bari
Bari is included to balance the week in Polignano a Mare with time in a larger, working city. It is the regional capital and a busy port, with a historic old town, a long seafront and everyday food culture that is easy to experience on foot.
One afternoon includes a focaccia and orecchiette cooking class, where you learn how two of the region’s best known dishes are made and sit down to eat what you prepare. Another day includes a guided bike tour of Bari, covering the old town, seafront and nearby neighbourhoods, making it easy to see more of the city without needing to plan routes or transport.
