Days 1-3: Sigiriya

Start your adventure at one of Sri Lanka's most iconic landmarks, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climbing its winding staircases, you’ll see intricate frescoes and experience panoramic views that stretch far and wide.

Next, trade ancient ruins for thrilling wildlife on a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park. Home to herds of majestic elephants, peacocks, and other animals, this sanctuary is particularly magical during the late afternoon when golden light hits the grasslands.

Days 3-5: Gal Oya

Gal Oya offers a complete retreat into Sri Lanka’s untamed wilderness. Start with a boat safari on the reservoir, keeping watch for elephants swimming across the water’s surface and colourful kingfishers darting along the shoreline.

For bird lovers, an early morning guided walk provides the perfect opportunity to spot some of the island's 400 bird species amid the rustle of dew-kissed leaves. After dark, venture on a jungle night walk where cricket chirps fill the air and your guide’s torch reveals nocturnal creatures hidden in the dense foliage.

Days 5-7: Ella

The small town of Ella offers picture-perfect views and welcomes you to Sri Lanka’s famous hill country. Visit the Halpewatta Tea Factory to learn the intricate process behind the island's celebrated brew and savour a fresh cup while admiring endless rows of vibrant green tea bushes.

Stroll through this charming town before heading to the famous swing in Ella for a moment to take in the misty valley views. Later, cap off your Ella stay with an evening hike to Little Adam’s Peak, where the sunset brings warm, golden hues to the hills.

Days 7-10: Bentota

The coastal resort of Bentota provides easy connections to Mirissa for a day of whale-watching, where you can often spot breaching blue and humpback whales.
Visit Galle’s Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and wander cobblestone streets surrounded by colonial architecture. At the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, learn about conservation efforts to protect endangered sea turtles and even witness baby turtles making their way to the ocean for the very first time.
Round off your stay with a Balapitiya mangrove river safari, gliding through lush waterways where herons perch and tree roots weave intricate patterns around the riverbanks.

Days 10-11: Colombo

Conclude your Sri Lankan adventure with a day at leisure in the bustling capital. Take a stroll along Galle Face Green, where locals gather to fly kites and snack on street food, or visit the Gangaramaya Temple—a fascinating blend of architecture, spirituality, and history.
