Welcome to Lisbon

Your adventure begins in Portugal’s vibrant capital, Lisbon—a city that effortlessly blends old-world charm with contemporary energy. You’ll meet your expert tour leader and fellow cyclists around 4pm before heading off on an orientation walk through the historic city centre.

Later, enjoy a warm Portuguese welcome over a delicious dinner at a traditional local restaurant. The perfect start to your journey.

Setúbal and the Arrábida Mountains

Leave Lisbon and travel to Setúbal ( 45-minute transfer), where your bikes will be fitted and ready. This afternoon's gentle ride introduces you to the area, including a scenic climb around Arrábida Mountain and a visit to the fascinating archaeological site of Cumenda.

Troia to Santo André via Comporta

After a short ferry ride across the stunning Sado Estuary, ride through the Troia Peninsula, once a bustling Roman centre. After head on to Comporta, famed for its rice fields and rustic charm. With the ocean on one side and dunes on the other, this route offers consistently scenic views.

Sines to Vila Nova de Milfontes

This  route is steeped in history and coastal charm. Visit Sines, the birthplace of Vasco da Gama, and its medieval castle overlooking the bay.

Then hug the coastline through the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, where wild beaches and dramatic cliffs are home to peregrine falcons, rare plants and striking geology. Rest overnight in the picturesque seaside town of Vila Nova de Milfontes.

Zambujeira do Mar to Rogil

A coastal feast for the senses. Highlights include the Sardão lighthouse, where cliffs and awe inspiring views of the sea. Cycle through Zambujeira do Mar, a sleepy fishing village with a golden-sand beach.

Before reaching Rogil, stop at Junior Jacques Distillery to taste the region’s renowned Medronho fruit brandies—a fitting toast to another spectacular day.

Pedralva via Aljezur

This route crosses into the Algarve, blending countryside tranquillity with cultural intrigue. Stop in Aljezur, famed for sweet potatoes and a 10th-century Moorish castle, then dip into the surfer's haven of Carrapateira.

Finish in the beautifully restored village of Pedralva, your home for the night.

Cabo de São Vicente & Sagres

The grand finale includes a visit to the local market in Vila do Bispo and Cordoama Beach, where high cliffs create a stunning backdrop.

The final ride leads to Cabo de São Vicente—the most south-westerly point in Europe, once believed to be the end of the world. From here, it’s a short cycle to Sagres, a charming coastal town where you will celebrate the end of our journey.

Farewell from Sagres

Enjoy a final breakfast with your group before heading off on your transfer to Faro Airport.
