Celebrity Beyond℠

The third ship in Celebrity’s state-of-the-art Edge® Series has just launched and like its 14 sister ships showcases the iconic cruise line's award-winning blend of cutting-edge technology with warmly welcoming interiors and revolutionary venues. We’ve taken a look at the amazing offerings in store for those who book a trip aboard this groundbreaking new vessel with its dazzling tropical, Mediterranean and transatlantic itineraries.

New Spaces

A ‘resort-within-a-resort’ with clean-lined East-meets-West design by the globally renowned Kelly Hoppen, CBE, The Retreat®  on Celebrity Beyond℠ features a choice of stunning suites, among them the two-storey Edge Villas with outdoor plunge pools, and the Iconic Suites – the largest in the fleet, with views to rival the captain’s. All come with luxurious amenities including eXhale® bedding, bespoke king-sized CashmereTM mattresses, plush Frette robes and slippers, and the services of a Personal Retreat Host. Guests of the Retreat also get premium drinks, premium Wi-Fi, tips, a shore excursion credit and onboard credit to use however they choose.

Celebrity Beyond℠ as a whole takes Celebrity’s outward-facing design further than ever to enhance the connection between guests, the sea and the thrilling destinations to which it’s heading. The length of the ship has been extended to create even more room for incredible outdoor spaces such as the new two-storey Sunset Bar imagined by internationally renowned designer Nate Berkus, and the redesigned Rooftop Garden by Kelly Hoppen. It also sees the addition of even more delicious culinary experiences to add to Celebrity’s fantastic collection, including a sparkling new restaurant by iconic chef Daniel Boulud.

Celebrity’s shops are places to indulge and exercise your mind, body and spirit, with sleek spas, state-of-the-art fitness facilities with floor-to-ceiling windows, and divine drinking and dining for all moods, from casual to sophisticated, from sushi to Italian – served inside or outside under the starlit sky.  Drinks, WiFi and tips are always included, as are award-winning shows and other entertainment the likes of which have never been seen at sea before. Junior sailors aren’t forgotten either, thanks to the cruise line’s innovative, fully customisable Camp at Sea programme with its activities themed around the spheres of Art, Recreation, Culinary, and S.T.E.M.

New Faces

Also ground-breaking is the fact that Celebrity Beyond℠ is captained by Kate McCue, who made history in 2015 when she became the first American woman to be named captain of a ‘mega’ cruise ship when she was appointed the role of commanding officer of Celebrity Summit®. A testament to Celebrity’s dedication to advancing the role of women in leadership, Kate is kept company aboard by her sphinx cat, Bug Naked, who has his own Instagram account, and when she’s not working enjoys travelling with Bug Naked and her husband, a cruise ship engineer
