Your adventure begins in Marrakech, a city that feels alive from the moment you arrive. Spend your first evening in Djemaa el-Fnaa, where street stalls sizzle with food and music fills the square. Children will love the performers, drummers and storytellers, while parents can soak up the atmosphere over dinner at one of the local stalls and explore the markets (souks).

Take the train north to Fes, a city where every lane seems to lead to something new. On a guided tour of the old medina, watch potters, weavers and tanners at work. Everyone can get involved in a pottery class with a local craftsman, a fun, hands-on way to learn about Moroccan art and take home a family-made souvenir.

Midelt

Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing forests, orchards and small villages. Stop in Midelt for an overnight stay and an easy walk through a nearby Berber village. It’s a quieter day with space to relax, enjoy the views and see how mountain life moves at its own pace.

After sunrise, drive through Ouarzazate to Ait Benhaddou, a sand-coloured fortress that once protected desert traders. Head into the High Atlas Mountains. The kids can ride mules while adults walk beside them on the trail into Imlil. Stay in a family-run guesthouse surrounded by walnut trees and mountain views. Dinner is freshly prepared, and in the morning you’ll watch bread being baked in a traditional clay oven.

Essaouira - Your Coastal Farewell

End your trip on the Atlantic coast in Essaouira, a calm and walkable seaside town. Take a guided stroll through the medina and visit the harbour where fishing boats return with the morning catch. Spend the rest of the day exploring at your own pace, maybe the beach for sandcastles, the markets for souvenirs or a seafood lunch by the water.
