Luxury Cruising
What I instantly loved most was how spacious the ship felt. It’s got the luxury of a mega-liner but with the intimacy of a smaller ship. With a maximum of 728 guests and over 500 crew members on board, the staff-to-guest ratio is exceptional. It means there’s always someone available to help, but never in an overbearing way. Everything felt so well thought out.
Our cabins were 1-bedroom premium medallion suites and wow, I could have easily stayed there forever! The moment I opened the cabin door I was greeted by a huge living area with sleek modern furnishings and a balcony that seemed to stretch endlessly into the horizon. The floor-to-ceiling windows made the space feel even more expansive. The suite itself was packed with thoughtful touches—an oversized bathtub in the marble bathroom and a minibar stocked with premium spirits. But the real magic was in the personalized service. Our butler was the ultimate host, he made sure we had everything we needed, from our favourite snacks to reservations at the restaurants.
If you love food, Silver Nova will spoil you. We dined at several restaurants on board and each one was superb. The main dining room Atlantide, had a relaxed elegance to it. The menu changed nightly, and I was most impressed with the lobster bisque and the perfectly grilled steaks. The wine pairings were always spot on and the staff made the experience feel special every single night. Another standout restaurant is La Dame, an intimate French fine dining venue that offers a multi-course tasting menu that rivals any Michelin-starred restaurant. The service here was impeccable and each course was prepared and presented with artistry and care. For something more casual but still fabulous, The Grill, by the pool was a great spot with a laid-back vibe, where we enjoyed delicious grilled meats, seafood and an impressive selection of tapas-style dishes by the pool. And if you're like me and enjoy something more regional, S.A.L.T. Kitchen brought a real sense of place to the table with dishes inspired by the regions we visited.
While Silver Nova doesn't try to be a Vegas-style floating city, the entertainment is top-tier for those who want a more refined experience. Our favourite, The Silver Note was the perfect spot for live jazz and the intimate Venetian Lounge featured classical performances and smaller cabaret-style shows that were great for winding down after a day of exploring. Silversea really shines when it comes to shore excursions, which are included! What makes them stand out is the personalized, intimate feel of the experiences. One of our favourites was white water rafting in Split and kayaking in Dubrovnik. Thanks to Silver Nova’s size, it can dock in less crowded, more exclusive ports. This gave the trip a sense of discovery, it felt like we were experiencing destinations in a more intimate, meaningful way.
The service on Silver Nova was, hands down, the best I’ve ever experienced. Every crew member, from the waitstaff to the concierge, was warm, attentive and seemed genuinely invested in making our experience flawless. The level of personalisation was exceptional.
Looking back, our time aboard Silver Nova was nothing short of magical. It’s a ship that knows how to blend luxury with a personal touch. Whether you’re enjoying a gourmet meal, relaxing in your suite or exploring new destinations, Silver Nova offers an experience that feels exclusive, indulgent and incredibly refined. It’s the perfect choice if you’re seeking a cruise that combines world-class amenities with a warm, intimate atmosphere. For anyone looking for the ultimate luxury cruise experience, Silver Nova is an easy recommendation. We can’t wait to do it all over again!
