Here are some of the best activities to include in your trip to pump up the wow factor.

1. Feed the elephants at Elephant Hills - Elephant Hills is Thailand’s 1st luxury elephant camp. It allows you a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with the endangered Asian elephant giving you an opportunity to feed the elephants. A truly memorable experience.

2. Sleep in a floating tent on Choew Larn lake – Floating Tents are the norm here, Canvas tents on floating platforms offer a truly unique experience. All rooms open onto a spectacular view of the lake with limestone mountains protruding from the water, Its like Jurassic park!

3.Cruise Halong Bay - Take a cruise of on the must-see Lan Ha Bay, a part of Halong Bay that is less commercial. This world-famous bay is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Vietnam, with its giant rock islets covered in luxuriant vegetation overlooking the waters. Halong Bay includes some 1,900 islands.

4. Visit Ubud in Bali – Ubud in the centre of the island Bali is where you will find yourself surrounded by rain-forests and paddy fields. Visit Monkey temple with its reclining gold Buddha and monkeys, take trip to see the volcano pop into the restaurant that sits overlooking the volcano with the lake below.

5. Walk the base rim of Uluru and watch the sunrise - Uluru also call Ayres Rock is an incredible place in Australia’s outback, steeped in aboriginal history and mythology walking the base at sunrise allows you an unique experience.

6. Sights and bites tour New York – Visit places of interest but also to places you would never find on your own. Grand central station with its whispering wall, Urban Space with its collection of locally run restaurants and bars. Off the beaten track coffee shops and Donut shops. It’s a great way to explore.

7. Cruise the stars homes in Miami - Take a cruise from Biscayne bay which taking you around the million-dollar homes of the rich and famous. This trip leaves you dreaming of how the other half live.

8. Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi - The Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi is a breath-taking spot and well worth a visit. It is one of the largest mosques in the world holding the world’s biggest chandelier and largest carpet, both handmade. It can hold 40,000 people at any one time. The sheer size is amazing to see.

9. River boat safari in Chobi Safari Lodge - Book a private champagne boat safari a great way to see the hippo and the Elephants crossing the river to the lush, grassed islands plus thousands of Buffalo and wildebeest feeding on the riverside it’s a fantastic way to go on safari in a different way.

10. Take a boat down the Grand Canal in Venice – Take a Vaporetto down the iconic Grand Canal, being on the water is what’s it all about in Venice and the Vaporetto’s are like our city buses. Reasonably priced and a great way to see Venice from the water without breaking the bank.

11. Familia Sagrada Barcelona – Also known as the Basílica de la Sagrada Família . Designed by Spanish architect Gaudí, it is stunning, Gaudi worked on it for over 40 years and it is still to be completed. A guide is recommended but not essential.

12. Walking tour of Victoria falls – It’s a good idea to have a guide as the force of the water cascading over the falls is phenomenal and a bit scary in sections of the walkway but this is what your have come for. We heard all the stories from our guide about David Livingston and the devils’ pools.

13. Take a single rotating cable car to Table Mountain - The Table Mountain cable car allows you take a single cable car to the top of Table Mountain. There is no need to rush for a good spot as this is one of the largest rotation cable cars in the world, so everyone gets a great view and the views over Cape Town.

14. Visit Mary Kings Close Edinburgh – Hiding under the busy streets of Edinburgh this forgotten warren of alleyways and passageways give you a look into the homes of the people from the 17th century. Take a tour of this street that was closed and hidden and then built upon to reveal its secrets.

15. Take a Speed boat to Koh Phi Phi - The islands of Phi Phi are spectacularly beautiful. The sea is crystal clear in Maya Bay, which was the location for the film “The Beach” it is a place of striking beauty. The snorkelling is super here and offers great diving too with an abundance of sea life.

16. Sail Whitsunday islands – with 74 islands sea turtles and an array of coloured fish, sailing the Whitsundays gives you a different adventure each day. Visit the world's most beautiful beach, Whitehaven beach or just enjoy the yacht you’re sailing on. Either way if a gorgeous adventure.

17. Swim 100-year-old turtles in Philippines - The Turtles in Balicasag are huge and estimated to be over 100 years old. Swimming with them and watching them eat and surface for air is unbelievable and a real privilege. It’s one of the top experiences to do for sure.

18.Take a Vespa food tour- Saigon by night on a Vespa, you will be picked up at the hotel by Vespa before making a stop at Air 360 Sky Bar to enjoy a cocktail and a panoramic view of Ho Chi Minh City at night before venturing into the city. As a passenger, you will have the chance to visit many off-the-beaten track highlights.

19. Go shark diving in South Africa - Shark cage diving: Not for everyone but certainly gets the Adrenaline going. Great white sharks visible in the wild. It is most definitely a unique experience. This is also worth keeping in mind when you are considering an ocean swim!

20. New Years Eve fireworks in Iceland - These fireworks are not put on by the government. The people of Iceland put on this spectacular show. Every person buys and lights fireworks for New Year’s which leads to the whole city being lit up. Fireworks for miles and miles lighting up the sky.

21. Visit the forgotten temple of Angkor Wat - It’s all about 37 when you are learning about Angkor Wat. It took 1000’s of workers 37 years to build Angkor Wat. There are 37 steps to the top of the temple. A one-day pass is $37 but what is really amazing is they can’t find any trace of the people that worked on the temple.
