You will first arrive in San José where you will stay for a night in the Studio Hotel Boutique. Upon

arrival you will also meet your tour guide and fellow travellers who will be joining you on your adventure.

You will begin your tour with a trip to Tortuguero where you will experience the unspoiled nature of Tortuguero National Park. Tortuguero is also famous for the endangered green turtle, and you can learn more about them at the Sea Turtle Museum during your trip. You might also encounter some of Costa Rica’s wildlife like monkeys, caiman, and iguanas.

Your next adventure will be in Sarapiqui where you can admire the abundance of vegetation and the Sarapiqui River. You will be able to view Tirimbina Biological Reserve from above as you cross the suspension bridge over the beautiful rainforest and its numerous inhabitants. Your guide will teach about all the nocturnal species of the reserve such as frogs and mammals.

Your next stop will be La Fortuna where you will visit and learn about the organic pineapple plantation in La Virgen de Sarapiqui. During your trip you will also visit the tranquil Fortuna Waterfall, and you can take a dip in the emerald pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Afterwards, you will enjoy a fresh lunch made from the organic produce grown at the farm you will visit, and you’ll learn about the area’s history.

You continue your adventure in the forest-cloaked region of Monteverde, known for its high altitude and complex ecosystem. You will experience a hanging bridge excursion through Selvatura Park. This system of treetop walkways will allow you to admire the aerial view of the forest. You will also visit the butterfly garden which is one of the largest butterfly exhibitions in the world before going on a zip-line adventure through the treetops.

Your tour will then bring you to Rincon de la Vieja. During your stay you can choose from three activities which include a canyon canopy tour which is a zip-line adventure including rappelling, climbing, and hanging bridges over a river canyon. You will also have the choice of tubing on the Rio Negro or horse-riding through a forest leading to a rainforest waterfall. Stop by a hot spring which is naturally heated by the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

Your final stop before returning to San José will be Samara. During your trip you can look forward to a private boat trip where you can enjoy the scenic coastline and you might spot a dolphin or two. You will then anchor in Isla Chora where you can explore the white sandy beaches and go for a swim or snorkel in the crystal waters.

On your final evening, a ranger will take you to Camaronal beach on a turtle nesting tour. You might be lucky to see some of the hatchings of the adorable baby turtles.

Price is based on 2 adults sharing a Double Standard room for 1 night in the Studio Hotel Boutique in San Jose, Costa Rica, followed by a 14-day Costa Rica Adventure tour along, private transfer and return flights from Dublin. Flight departs Dublin on Wednesday 13th November.
