Singapore

My parents had lived in Singapore for a time before I was born and I had grown up hearing stories about this exotic country. I was excited to see it for myself! We flew with Emirates who were, as always, great to travel with. Our hotel was situated in the centre of the city with easy access to all the attractions, most within walking distance. The hotel itself was gorgeous with an old world colonial feel, a lovely pool and spa and it is known for having the best weekend brunch in Singapore.

Singapore is often seen as a stopover destination but with a huge range of entertainment options and events throughout the year, facilities for all the family, excellent hotels and restaurants and world class shopping there’s lots to recommend it for a longer stay.

We visited Sentosa Island, Universal Studios, took in the amazing views from Marina Bay Sky Park, visited Chiang War Museum, went on the Singapore Flyer and enjoyed the Botanical Gardens as well as the amazing Gardens by the Bay. We ate some amazing food, drank Singapore Slings in Raffles and shopped till be dropped! 5 Nights wasn’t long enough!
