Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas

To say I was excited about my trip on Royal Caribbeans Quantum of the Seas was an understatement. Officially the worlds first smart ship and one of the largest cruise ships at sea, Quantum has lots of new features never seen been before. Along with the old favourites like ice skating, rock climbing and flow rider, Quantum has introduced a sky diving simulator, a London Eye style capsule that can rise hundreds of feet into the air and an entertainment complex featuring bumper cars and a circus school!

The ship boasts a larger than normal main pool, indoor pool with retractable roof and adults only pool which really was a mini oasis as well as hot tubs dotted around the upper decks . The ship has over $5 million worth of art, a state of the art fitness centre and spa as well as kids and teen clubs to rival any on land.

There was a host of entertainment experiences on board from the large casino, to the late night live bands to the Broadway style Mamma Mia show, you are spoilt for choice.

With 18 restaurants to choose from you simply could not go hungry! Quantum is the first ship to introduce Dynamic Dining and while I have always enjoyed traditional dining on board my other cruises I really liked this concept. You have 4 restaurants to choose from including my favourite, The Grande. The service, food and décor were superb, one of the best dining experience I've ever had! Quantum also has the first Starbucks at sea, a Bionic bar with robotic bartenders and Jamie Oliver's Italian Restaurant.

There is a large choice of cabins to suit all budgets from insides featuring virtual balconies to incredible Royal Loft Suites. The whole feel of this ship was luxurious and classy yet laid back and relaxing with endless possibilities for enjoying a spectacular cruise.
