Mara River Safari Park

The last two nights of our stay in Bali were in Mara River Safari Lodge. This was a unique way to end what was a fantastic stay to the island. The lodge was themed on an African Safari Lodge and the view from our balcony was of rhino's, zebra's and elephants. A basket of fruit was left in our room daily which you were able to feed the animals with.

We had direct access to Bali Safari Park which had a host of interesting animals to see, shows and attractions to watch including a safari journey and a waterpark for the little ones with slides and rides. The lodge itself featured some great activities like elephant and meerkat feeding, a one of a kind restaurant where we were mesmerised by magnificent lions who were only a pane of glass away from us.

The highlight of the stay was the night time safari where we were within touching distance of the tigers that were on the open air metal grill roof of the custom made vehicle we were in.
