5 * Lopesan Baobab Resort

Staying in this hotel had been on my wish list for a while so I was delighted when an opportunity came about to spend 3 nights here on a short break. The hotel itself is quite stunning, with its striking entrance and distinctly African vibe it’s the perfect spot for couples, friends and also families to visit.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an incredible room where we had direct access from our sun loungers on the balcony to a beautiful pool shared with three other rooms, it was unique and a real treat. We stayed half board and the quality and selection of the food was by far the best I have experienced anywhere in Europe.

The hotel itself has 9 bars and restaurants onsite, 7 pools, a spa, entertainment for adults and children alike as well as a kids club, disco and waterpark for the little one. Flamingos lounged lazily in one of the many water features which I could view from my favourite spot, the cave bar with the gentle sound of the waterfalls in the background.

The resort of Meloneras, where the hotel is located, is stylish with a lovely coastal promenade, upmarket shops and beautiful sunsets. I would highly recommend a few days or a longer break in this lovely hotel.
