Harmony of the Seas is the world's newest and biggest cruise ship and I was lucky to be on-board for the inaugural sailing. From spacious accommodation, exciting activities, amazing entertainment to top class dining - I really didn't want to leave.
There is so much to see and do on-board Harmony of the Seas that it can be hard to know just where to start. The Ultimate Abyss which is the world's tallest slide at sea, is a great way to get the adrenalin pumping as well as water slides, a rock climbing wall and Zip Line, there's plenty to keep the excitement going.
The different 'neighbourhoods' offer something for everyone, whether it’s a stroll in Central Park, a ride on the Carousel on the Boardwalk or a bit of retail therapy on the Promenade, it's all there for the taking.
When it comes to dining, every taste is covered. The children can enjoy a relaxed dinner in the Windjammer Buffet Restaurant and then head off to the Adventure Ocean kids and teens clubs, while the adults can relax and enjoy the waiter service in the main dining rooms.
There's an extensive selection of food available from steak to sushi and fine dining to casual cuisine, they have everything to tantalise your taste buds. Some of my favourites are Jamie's Italian, Chops Grille, Sabor and Wonderland. The bars also have something to suit everyone's tastes, enjoy a nice glass of red in Vintages Wine Bar or a cocktail at the Robotic Bar.
The entertainment was of course top class. The Ice Show with world class skaters is a must see and the Broadway musical 'Grease' brought the house down. You can also have a flutter at the Casino or have a laugh at the comedy spot - The Attic.
I stayed in a Boardwalk view Stateroom with a balcony which gives a super view of the Ultimate Abyss and all the action on the Boardwalk. The ship also has family staterooms which can hold up to 6 people. It definitely gives larger families like mine the chance to cruise without taking 2 rooms.
I absolutely loved every second of my time on Harmony of the Seas and I would highly recommend it to couples, families and groups of friends. It would also be a great option for a 'girly week' away too.
