Spectacular cities filled with sky-high buildings, glorious national parks, stunning ocean views and world-class attractions – there are so many places in the USA to explore that it can be hard to choose where to start first.
Best time to visit the USA
The USA is truly a year-round destination with the Northern states seeing a huge temperature change between summer and winter, while the Southern states, including Texas and most of California remain fairly temperate in winter months with hot summers. The Rocky Mountain region is a year-round mecca for outdoor enthusiasts for either skiing or hiking and mountain-biking. New England is particularly attractive during the fall foliage while the most popular tourist attractions and National Parks should be avoided between July and early August as they may be crowded with families on holiday during this period.
Recommended length of stay: Five nights for city breaks, ten to twelve nights for multi-city trips

Top three experiences
Explore Asheville and the Great Smoky Mountains, North Carolina
The Biltmore Estate is a must-see for everyone interested in the history and flair of the Gilded Age, while the Great Smoky Mountains are the most visited National Park in the US. Driving through clouds, discovering waterfalls and the Appalachian Trail or horse-back riding through the lush forest; there is something for everyone!
Camp in Yosemite National Park, Sierra Nevada
Enjoy a small-group, guided tour that goes beyond Yosemite Valley and brings you closer to the beauty of this National Park by spending the night on the ground. See Giant Sequoia Trees and explore Yosemite High Country before returning to San Francisco.
Discover Maui and Haleakala Volcano, Hawaii
There is nothing more breathtaking and grounding than watching the sunrise at 10,000 feet above sea level on the summit of the dormant volcano known as Haleakala. This is one for the early-risers, but the sight of the sun rising and the majestic views on the drive down to the base are well worth it.
