Travel Agent Wexford

My name is Sylvia Shannon and I run a franchise for Travel Counsellors. We are a large multi-national organisation, and are licensed and bonded in Ireland. I am home based, which gives me the flexibility to meet clients at a time to suit their busy schedules, including evenings and weekends. I have extensive knowledge of the travel industry. I am well known in the Wexford and Enniscorthy areas, having worked here in Travel for 11 years, and have over 21 years experience in total.

I love my job and giving good personal service has always been my aim. I like to take my time with clients to ensure they get the holiday that suits them.

Because we are independent, we can book with all major suppliers.

I have travelled widely in Europe taking family holidays in mainland Spain, the Balearic islands, Portugal, Cyprus, Italy, France, Lapland, Madeira and Austria. I have also taken Mediterranean cruises. Cruising is something I love to do. I have visited Thailand and spent 3 nights in Bangkok, and then travelled to Pattaya beach resort.

One of the highlights of my recent holidays was a trip to South Africa. I flew to Cape Town where I spent two nights and this gave me time to explore the city and places of interest. I then flew to Port Elizabeth and stayed in Lalibela Private Game Reserve. I undertook three safaris while staying there and was up close to all the animals which was a wonderful experience. I then travelled back to Cape Town by the Garden route, where I visited many towns and places of interest. South Africa has been one of my favourite destinations, and one that I will definitely re-visit.

My most recent holiday was a trip to Austria in June. I stayed in the resort of Zell Am Zee, and visited some other resorts in the area. I am at heart a beach lover so this holiday was something completely different. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and I could only imagine what it must be like in winter time. The hotels I stayed at were beautiful and quite different to what you would find in Spain or Portugal. The locals were all very friendly, and customer service was big on their agenda with no request too much bother.
