I travelled to Disneyland Paris with my work colleague Nadine, and we stayed for three nights. We went to experience the delights of Disney first hand so that it would help us gain a better understanding. We stayed in one of the hotels on site and it was only a two minute walk to the Theme Parks.

On arrival in Paris CDG airport we took the coach into Disneyland. Transfer to the hotel was around 40 minutes...and from the moment we arrived, we could feel the magic. We could not wait to get to the park and once we had checked in and 'dumped' our bags in the room, we were back out again. After studying the map and deciding what to do first, we had a plan for the next three days .

We saw that there were four areas in which Disney is broken up into.. Discoveryland , Fantasyland (my favourite), AdventureLand and Frontierland ..and there is also the main street ..where the parades take place and where you will see some of the famous characters. There is so much for all the family - from the tiny tots to the older children and not forgetting the adults...There are a number of hotels on site to suit all budgets and they are all of a good standard.

While we were here we took in the Buffalo Wild West Show and I would recommend this for families, as the children will have a great time and really get to be involved in the show. There are a host of other things that you can add onto your trip to make it more magical. We found we were able to organise breakfast with the characters or have a special birthday party with them. There is so much you can do. Also, for the shoppers amongst us there is La Vallee ...an outlet shopping village that is just five minutes from the Disney hotels. A shuttle service operates from the hotels. It opens seven days a week and has more than 80 high end fashion and home decor labels.

Not forgetting for the gents.. there are a number of golf courses around the area as well. All in all this was a trip I really enjoyed and I will be back soon...this time with the children .
