We stayed in Cape Town for the first couple of nights. The waterfront area is a lovely area to stay it is very central to everything and it is safe. There are so many trips you can do. Take a trip up Table Mountain in a cable car. Take a boat trip to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was in prison. Take a trip to the winelands. Definitely a must and you can even do an over night. There is great shopping in Cape Town and plenty of bars and restaurants to suit everyone.

After a couple of days in Cape Town I would recommend you hiring a car and driving the Garden Route. They drive on the same side of the road as we do. Along the garden route you will enjoy national parks, open savannas, ostrich farms, sweeping mountain views and then settle back at sunset with a glass of your favourite tipple.

You can not go to South Africa without experiencing a safari trip. You will enjoy staying at a luxury lodge. All meals and game drives are included during your stay. A 2 night stay is perfect and you will have the opportunity of getting to see the Big Five.
