Although we are the other-side of the world when I rang Donna to organise a trip to Ireland for ourselves and 2 grandchildren nothing was too much bother. We are now all sorted for a trip home along with a side trip to Greece and stopovers in Abu Dhabi.

We have booked several holidays with Donna Olohan of Travel Counsellors and have always found her to be extremely helpful and professional. It is always a pleasure to deal with her and she makes the process of booking a holiday so easy. We haven't had a bad holiday experience since we started booking with her.
Marian O'Gorman, Wicklow, 14 April 2014
Donna was extremely helpful when I was trying to organise a trip to Australia, a stop on the way over and a trip from Oz to Vegas. Donna priced a number of different options and talked me through them all. She was very patient as I changed my mind numerous times and she advised me about Australia and different places we could stop on the way. Without Donna I'd still be trying to figure it all out.

Our family has booked our last few holidays with Donna and found her to be extremely helpful, we always feel very assured that everything is in order before takeoff! One particular year our child was sick whilst on holiday and ended up in hospital, having Donna at the other end of the phone for reassurance and advice was a life saver! Have recommended her to several friends & family over the years
Eibhlis Forde, Arklow, 27 May 2013
I have used Donna on numerous occasions, from skiing in Bulgaria to sunshine in Thailand and many more and I can honestly say I have never had a problem or worry with any holiday. I found Donna very thorough and dedicated to providing the best possible service and I would recommend her to anybody.

Donna was absolutely brilliant tailoring a perfect honeymoon to suit us and went as far as coming up with new ideas to add to our trip. Her service is second to none and I have already recommended her to friends and family

Hi Donna, I would like to say thank you for all your help. Every holiday you have booked for me has being great. You take the hassle and stress out of our holidays from booking the flights, hotel and transfes and the advice and time you give us. Always ready to help. You are brilliant at your job. Looking forward to our holidays in September and we will be in touch. Thank you.
Josephine Vaughan, Lusk, Co. Dublin, 10 July 2012
Donna helped us choose the right honeymoon destination for us. She gave us options and advice on different areas and worked to book us exactly what we wanted. She was always pleasant, professional and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, this made the whole booking process much easier than expected. I would highly recommend booking any trip through Donna.

We're just back from honeymoon and wish to say thanks to Donna Olohan so so much for doing such a spectacular job! We had an absolute blast on the honeymoon she organised for us. Every little detail was taken care of; flights, hotels, all our transport..even our day trips! We would totally recommend her. If you are going anywhere….Travel Counsellors and Donna are the ones to go with!

As our flight was due to land late at night we decided to spend 1 night in the Holiday Inn Express at the airport. I wasn’t expecting too much as the reviews were not great, but we were pleasantly surprised. The reception area was spacious and had a small shop in the corner, the rooms were quiet nice and had everything that you needed. The hotel has a shuttle transfer from the terminal at the airport. The next morning we transferred to our next destination – Palm Tree Court Hotel. From the moment we arrived it...

A group of us (couples) travelled to Warsaw for a weekend. We stayed in the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel; it was a lovely hotel in a great location. We were just around the corner from the old town and about 15 minute walk from the new town (or €3 in a taxi) the hotel rooms were great size and had a lovely indoor pool area. Across the road from the hotel is the Saxon Gardens, these gardens are beautifully manicured and house the remains of the Saxon Palace. These remains contain the ‘Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’, it is...

What can I say? I got the chance of a lifetime to go and experience the Maldives for myself. I am still trying to find the words to describe it… ‘Amazing’, ‘Wow’, ‘a little piece of paradise’ and ‘out of this world’ spring to mind. After flying from Dublin to Dubai and onwards to Male with Emirates airlines it was time to board the speed boat to Kuramathi. The boat trip was spectacular; to be out in the middle of the ocean and not a ripple to be seen. It was so clear that the horizon all blended in! Some of...

Our holiday began as soon as we boarded the ferry. When we arrived in France we drove from Cherbourg to Val d’Europe, via the Paris ring road. After we checked into our apartment, we boarded the train into Paris. Here we took the boat trip down the Seine and got a quick look at the Eiffel tower before we headed back for the night. We then spent 2 very long days in Disney with our very excited kids. The queues were not as bad as I was expecting for the time of the year, which was great. We got...

My husband decided on Madrid for a quick weekend away and I had no objections so I got it all booked before he could change his mind! After landing in Madrid airport we got the train to the city centre. Luckily our stop was right across from our hotel, the Mercure Santa Domingo. Even though we were too early for check in there was a room available, which was great. I had booked a superior room which is a little more spacious than a standard. It was modern, clean and had everything we needed. We had...

I am a bit biased when it comes to Melbourne. Having spent so much time in this cosmopolitan city, I just love it. It has everything going for it. There is so much to do; I don’t know where to start. The best way to get around is to jump on a tram or simply walk. Melbourne is renound for it cafes and restaurants. There is something for everyone’s taste and budget! Or you can simply take a visit to one of the many parks and have a picnic. Jump on a tram and take...

What a fabulous place!! After you get a catamaran from Hervey Bay (only takes 35 minutes) you have the view of the island ahead of you. We spent 2 nights on the Island staying in the King Fisher Bay Resort. It is a real treat to stay here. The Hotel is low rise and spread out in the grounds with the villas and apartments located behind the hotel set among the trees. Our room was large with a lovely wooden deck area – lovely to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun set or...

New York is just amazing. This was my second time in New York. My friend Kelly and I got the chance to take a quick 3 night trip with no hubbies and no kids …..Wow! After landing at Newark airport we got the bus to Grand Central station. We were staying in the Fitzpatrick’s Grand Central Hotel (just around the corner form the bus stop). After checking in we proceeded to our room, it was huge, loads of space with 2 double beds. We didn’t delay, we dropped the bags and headed for a walk to Time Square to...

After flying from Dublin to Stansted, we proceeded to get the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station. The cost of this is €22 or £22 - which ever way you preferred to pay. You need to keep this extra in mind when deciding on which airport to fly into! We stayed in the Melia White House Hotel 4*, It was a lovely Hotel. The lobby, bar and restaurant areas were nice and spacious. The rooms were a good size and were nicely decorated. The staff were always nice and friendly. The Hotel is situated in...

This volcanic Island is exactly what you see on the postcards. It has a combination of beautiful black beaches and lots of history. A trip to Oia village and the volcano are a must. Thira – the capital, with its winding narrow streets are lined with many bars and restaurants. We sampled a restaurant in this area and found the service, style and food to be excellent. There is so much choice that you could easily eat in a different restaurant each night! Many of Thira’s Hotels are built in to the cliff giving them a feel of...

Cairns provides the perfect base for venturing out to the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest & many beautiful beaches. On arriving to Cairns airport we collected a car, this I find is the best thing to do as after just 10-15 minutes we were already parking at our hotel; The Cairns Hotel. The hotel we chose was a low rise, plantation style hotel, set 2 blocks back from the beach (only a 2 minute walk - fantastic!). As this was a few days that were being spent without the children, it was to be a nice relaxing time!!! That was how...

From the hustle and bustle of the lively waterfront, to the shopping districts and much more. There is something for everyone in Singapore. After arriving at the Novotel Hotel with its large pool, this was the first place the kids wanted to go! But this was only the beginning... I felt the location of our chosen hotel was perfect. The hotel was just around the corner from Clarke Quay, a brightly coloured waterfront, with its large selection of restaurants. Whilst here we got the cable car across to Sentosa Island – so hard to believe this place is right beside...

Winter Wonderland…. It was pure magic. After the madness of Christmas it was great to get away. At the time our girls were 4 & 6. They were at a great age for it. We stayed in the 4* Holiday Inn Hotel, just off site. It was a very busy few days as we were as excited about being there as the kids were! The hotel was lovely, the room had a double bed and a set of bunk bed with a curtain to section it off and they had their own TV. The whole...
