Lazy in Lanzarote!

I've been to the wonderful island of Lanzarote for the third time and I never get tired of it! Excellent restaurants, short stroll to the beach and year round sunshine, something for everyone! I stayed in Puerto Del Carmen each time which gives easy access to great beaches, shopping and dining - everything for a relaxing break anytime of the year.

My first visited included a 7 night stay at the Los Hobiscos Apartments which are very well located, basic apartments but clean and they have a beautiful large swimming pool to relax and enjoy some sunshine.

I had the opportunity to experience 5* villa luxury at the Villa Alondra for my second visit, these are located in the old town of Puerto Del Carmen, a down hill 10 minute walk will take you to numerous restaurants overlooking the sea. The location was a little quieter but the standard was excellent and ideal for families or small groups looking for villa accommodation but not needing a car!

While there, we took a ferry trip to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. It is completely different to Lanzarote and very popular for families, couples and water sport enthusiasts due to the windy sea conditions. It’s a lovely day out for any age group while still enjoying the good weather from the deck.

We hired a car for a few days and drove to many areas including Costa Teguise, Puerto Calero, Matagorda & Playa Blanca. These are quieter resorts but the views over the sea are amazing, there is also a submarine tour you can take from Puerto Calero or just relax there and enjoy the view of the yachts & beautiful boats in the Marina.

For my third visit, I stayed at the Bocaina villas in Puerto del Carmen, a small quiet development of 3 bedroom villas each with their very own private pool, a short walk into the resort centre so car hire is not essential! I would rate these as 3* and they are smaller and more compact than the Alondra villas.
