Disney Land Paris

Last May myself and my sister-in-law had the opportunity to take our two young girls to Disneyland Paris for a 3 night stay. This was my 3rd trip to Disneyland Paris. We flew direct from Cork to Paris and arrived just after lunch which was ideal. We were transferred by couch which took about 40 minutes.

On arrival we checked into the Disney Sequoia Lodge which faces Lake Disney and was a short and interesting walk to the park. All the Disney Hotel’s are themed and the Sequoia Lodge was based on the great American outdoors but with all the home comforts.

We were all bursting with excitement when we arrived as the street parade was just about to begin and the look on our children’s faces was amazing and unforgettable.

All through the park we were bumping into Disney characters. We stayed within Fantasy Land which was ideal for our younger children. There was more than enough to keep them entertained with visiting Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, spins in the Mad Hatters’ teacups, Race Rally Car, Stitch Live & many more. We took many boat rides through ‘Its A Small World’. My 3 year old daughter still sings the themed ‘Its A Small World’ song 10 months on!!
As we were staying within Disney we had priority to the park for one hour each morning before the gates opened to the public which was great as we did not have to queue for any of the rides.

There is also amazing shopping in the Disney village as well as wild west shows, Imax Cinema, live music and a games arcade. I have eaten in the Rainforest Cafe many times which is situated in the Disney Village and is not to be missed. It is so captivating for adults & children alike. It is themed as a rainforest with trees, gorillas, monkeys, parrots and plants all around the tables. Every 20 minutes they create a tropical storm with thunder and lightning – watch out for the rain!!

I would advise you to get your hands on a park map and plan each day what you would like to do and cover, as there is so much to go through. I would also recommend the ‘Fast Pass’ service which saves time waiting in the queues and a completely free way to make the most of your day.

Disney is for all ages and you will never forget that magical feeling. So if you’re thinking of taking a trip to Euro Disney I would be more than happy to help you.
