Your wedding day will be something you will remember for many years to come. The question is always how to make it truly memorable. For many couples, the answer is having their wedding abroad. With traditional weddings becomingly increasingly expensive, it’s an option that makes good sense in so many ways. You can hold your ceremony on a beach, in a chapel overlooking the sea, poolside, in a tropical garden –- anywhere you can imagine.

If you book a package holiday, you may also have the advantage of using the services of the resort’s wedding planner. She can make all the arrangements in advance of your big day, and there may be no fee involved. Some resorts offer complimentary wedding packages to their guests. And if you stay at an all-inclusive property, your cocktails and drinks are already included in the package price. You may also be able to enjoy special perks offered as well, ranging from welcome gifts in your suite, room upgrades and more.

Beyond the practical reasons for a wedding abroad, there are emotional ones too. You want to make this day unforgettable. You want to make it stand out from every other wedding you’ve attended for friends and family. Going somewhere special and inviting your loved ones along makes your wedding unique. And the choices of destination are great. Think about the south coast of Spain and the celebration you can have with the Mediterranean Sea in the background. Imagine a country villa, nestled among the vineyards of Tuscany in France. Or hold your ceremony at dawn as the sun appears over the mountains on a quiet island in Thailand.

I’ve been twice to Vegas and I loved it even more the second time. The first time I went I stayed in the “New York, New York Hotel” which is on the strip , I loved this hotel and would highly recommend staying here. On our first trip to Vegas we hired a car and went way off the beaten track but we had the time to do this. We loved that trip so much we decided to go back for a second time to get married there! We stayed at the Treasure Island hotel which was fantastic and we chose this hotel because we wanted to do everything in the hotel and as it has its own Chapel we decided on the Treasure Island which was’nt a bad choice at all. Las Vegas is the most popular city in the U.S. It’s renowned for gambling, shopping, fine dining and entertainment and it offers a TON of things to do besides gambling. Skydiving, helicopter trips, driving race cars at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and horseback riding in Red Rock are just a few. Shows are also big in Vegas, I’m not much of a show person... view full story
